Let's hope there's not a repeat of 2 years ago where the score was the same going into Sunday. WeeBud Posted September 29, 2014 Report Share Posted September 29, 2014 Have to agree with a lot of what davidg has to say, a truly brilliant sporting experience. The golf was brilliant but the whole package was superb, right from the 5.20 train out of Gourock. The organisation was excellent although ScotRail could maybe have got us out of Gleneagles a bit sharper and the stewards treated everyone with a smile, a joke here and there but more importantly respect, football stewards could learn a lot from them. The atmosphere was brilliant and although quite noisy it was all good humoured, both sides were treated with respect without exception. Even after Europe had won the remaining games were completed in a good and fair spirit. As Bob Bubka said this morning on TalkSport, "there are Ryder Cups and then there are Ryder Cups in Scotland". He said it was the best golfing experience of his life and he's been covering golf around the world for over 30 years My only gripe would be no cider and no heavy at the bars so it was slightly warm wine for me but that's no real complaint.
