Bud the Baker
Been ill for a while, saw him live a few times doing bass/vocals for Robin Trower - RIP
FS
I spent a couple of days with Jack in 2012 filming a BBC Scotland 'Artworks' documentary which will no doubt merit a repeat viewing now. I can honestly say they were a great couple of days and Jack was the perfect gentleman and raconteur. Some of his stories about spats with Ginger Baker were hilarious. His nephew Nico is a stalwart on the Glasgow jazz scene, also a bass player and worth catching live if you can. All hail Jack Bruce, off to the white room indeed. dave.j
Really sad news, saw him a pile of times, from his Question of Time album through BBM to him and Trower at the Academy a couple of years ago. You could see in the last couple of years he didn't have long, and maybe was suffering from cancer? An incredible musician, not just bassist. http://youtu.be/OUo3Nv7k4R0

Isle Of Bute Saint
Bought a cream album years ago but just could not get into it after a good few listens. Have a couple of Eric Clapton albums who for me is over rated also , he is ok but not 'special' as the music press would have us believe.
