I find there's racial tones when these incidents make the news or people raise them on social media.

I had a discussion on LinkedIn only a few days ago when there was a post with strong racial terms being discussed.

I quoted a few recent knife crimes by white British people which didn't go down well.

We have more than enough British nutcases who fancy themselves when they have a knife on them.

We do have knife crime which is homegrown (see bbc piece on Nottingham today) however I do think there are cultural links to certain crime’s. You don’t see many white British people attacking several random people in public places. The problem is if we are all to scared to talk about these issues because you are accused of being racist then our society will get worse over time. A prime example is the Rotherham Asian abuse gangs.

Yeah, it's cause a local stabbing a local doesn't make such a good headline. [emoji6]

To be honest if 6 random people were stabbed by one person in Glasgow central it would be headline worthy. I don’t really understand your point?

The frequency of these incident don't seem to be reducing.

Another lunatic with a "sword" killed an innocent 14 year old boy, just take a second and think about someone in your family around that age, and also another 4 others were injured, including two brave police officers who faced up to this walloper.

The ease of purchasing these weapons, I fear, is unstoppable and the attacks/killings will only continue.

Again, no doubt this latest fcukwit will have "mental health issues". :thumbsdown

For me it’s the visceral act of stabbing. It’s close to the victim and may need to be done more than once. The wee guy stabbed at High Street station sticks in my mind.

He kept asking to be taken home even though he’d never get home. Tragic!

The 14 year old boy in this latest attack was, by all accounts, a star in every aspect of life and all the hopes and dreams of his parents are gone in a few tragic moments.

I really despair and really have no idea what the answer is but it seems to be becoming almost and every day/weekly occurrence.

Tragic right enough mate. :(

The internet makes this appear to be happening on a daily basis because it probably is somewhere in the world. You used to open the paper and just read about scotland, while now one story can follow another and each be from a different country. A guy in paisley is still much, much more likely to be assaulted by a paisley nutter than some religious nut.
