Guest TPAFKATS
I agree we need to sort racism out, but the drive to sanitise history is wrong, every country has a period in its past that was by its very nature of its time, it needs to be put in context not hidden away, explaining how benefactors came to have the wealth they used and putting it in context warts and all is much healthier than pretending it never happened.I agree Stanley although I would take the view that we have sanitised history and hidden away too much fir centuries. For example, recent weeks have highlighted role of Britain and its empire in slavery better than 200 years of history lessons and media. StanleySaint
Absolutely and that's why we need to put it in context in the right way rather than expunge.

We're going around in circles here. We agree racism still exists. In fact in some countries, it's rife. Where we part ways is in thinking it's only blacks that should have the awareness raised. ALL LIVES MATTER. To say anything else is to discriminate.

Do you have personal experience of countries which have been trying to right the wrongs of racism? The black community seeks black affirmation, rights and privilidges. The white population seems to think its enough to say.. Well if we are all the same then all we need to do is say so. Its not enough.
