faraway saint Posted September 23, 2023 Report Posted September 23, 2023 Meanwhile in other news, things just get better and better, what a turnaround by Arbroath after losing the first 3 games. Quote

As usual the manager and players deserve great credit. Quote
faraway saint Posted October 19, 2023 Report Posted October 19, 2023 Arbroath are away to New Saints in the challenge cup. A financial loss for sure. WTF, a Welsh team. 🙄 Quote
faraway saint Posted November 25, 2023 Report Posted November 25, 2023 After an embarrassing, and costly, defeat the entire management team have resigned. Dick and Ian Campbell with big Rab Douglas. Quote

faraway saint Posted November 28, 2023 Report Posted November 28, 2023 Another 3-0 thumping for Arbroath away to Dunfermline tonight. There are mixed reactions up here about Campbell's resignation. One camp, rightly, recognising he's kept a part time in the Championship and punching above their weight. Another view is the charismatic manager has run out of ideas. Like all of these things, time will tell. Quote
faraway saint Posted May 4, 2024 Report Posted May 4, 2024 What a season for poor Arbroath. A goal difference of - 54, a manager who is the direct opposite ofCampbell, didn't make an appearance at hospitality last week, no engagement with the support and is far from maintaining the surprisingly good support Arbroath still manage to sustain. The players that are still at the club who were part of THAT season must wonder WTF has happened. Quote
shull Posted October 9, 2024 Author Report Posted October 9, 2024 What a job he's doing, with help from Saints legend, John Young. Quote
faraway saint Posted January 9 Report Posted January 9 Thought this thread was The Arbroath thread but anyway.................. Great to see a club actually taking some action against the wallopers who think it's a laugh to take pyrotechnics to matches and not give one fcuk about their own supporters. Als heartwarming that supporters helped identify this fanny and that'll be the end of him at Arbroath matches. Quote

faraway saint Posted March 23 Report Posted March 23 Despite Arbroath being 5 points clear with 6 games to go the amount of knicker wetting is unbelievable. They've drawn the last two games, painfully losing very late goals in both games, which has seen the simpletons pointing the finger at the management team. 🤣🤣🤣 Some Fitba supporters, not the brightest. Like I said a few weeks ago, the knicker wetting was uncalled for. Arbroath have got themselves in a position where it would take a collapse of unimaginable levels NOT to win the league. Tomorrow could be the day, a bumper crowd, live on the telly and I'll be watching from the stands. Quote

Hospitality was packed and, as per usual, was great value. Had quite a chat with the chairman after the game, he speaks highly of us and is very grateful for the loanees. He can't, obviously, comment on next season but he'd love to have at least one, a lot depends on what happens close season. After the dreadful start to the season, 3 points from the first SIX games, it's astounding that Arbroath are League Champions with 3 games to play. The current management team, Gold and Hamilton, deserves great credit. They came up to hospitality after the game and spoke at length about the supporters and the directors for believing in them. Next season's a massive challenge, part time doesn't make things easier. Quote
