No-one gets pass marks tonight... very worrying. We have no clue what to do when we land on the ball and the passing tonight was atrocious from every player. We have no formations of play apart from lump it up the park and try and win a long throw or corner, so we can hit the first man with it.
The manager knew what we needed in the January window and has failed miserably. We signed Campbell ( who he has worked with previously) and he is nowhere near the starting line-up because he spoke back to him. What was the point? Also recalling Smyth for less then two games then sending him back to Partick just looks a sign of desperation.
You could also through in Calvin, Donnelly, Dijksteel to this debate.
We are not a side that can afford "squad" players, every player in the first team squad should be ready to play and know their role. To be honest we just look a team of hard working players with no style of play. That's confidence now looks completely shot.
This is what makes the performances since then so frustrating. I sat in the cold and rain at Livingston on Saturday and felt I didn't recognise the same players who graced Hampden Park.
Genuine question for all the "statos" out there...has a League Cup winning team ever been relegated?
