Already well on the way. Bus was delayed and diverted because of the bridge restrictions. On the positive side we don't have to worry about the delay reducing pre match drinking time. Quite a few of us on the same boat. Could end up a messy day🤣

As we were leaving the ground yesterday the Social club was filling with locals heading to a bingo night. The queues outside were growing so I think they are getting a lot of income from non-footballing events in the community.

I think we deserve to be punished but I think the SFA have gone OTT in awarding Hamilton and Motherwell Points. That punishes everyone in the league not just us. Even a points deduction for us would have been fairer, as awarding 3 points to Hamilton and Motherwell could get Livingston or Ross County relegated or get Motherwell into Europe ahead of Hibs. I think the insinuation is that Scottish Football will be getting the red card, not the next team. There have been many valid and some silly comments regarding Covid, football, disciplinary action, Public health and conspiracies but it looks like wee Nicky is backing herself into a corner and the next breach could well be the end of the season for everyone. I can accept Aberdeen may have an excuse but I find it hard to believe Celtic could misplace a player for 4 days before a match and then play him. I didn't realise I had an auto-renew option and no one told me I would get it free for three months as I already have a season ticket before they took my subscription. Don't worry folks. New amendments are getting put through to bolster all the hate crime laws and give everybody the chance to be offended. Your right to be offended will be increased to include ageism so all this talk on this thread of things like being being born in 1942 or even claiming someone is young enough to be a student cannot be reposted in any way that could cause upset. The normal requirement to prove guilty intent is not required to obtain a prosecution under hate laws. If any one calls you a codger, crumbly, whippersnapper or millennial you can play the ageism card and get them wheeched off to jail whether they meant to insult you or not. Unfortunately I am still unprotected if some calls me baldy and folk from Greenock can still be described as smelly but freedom of speech is definitely getting restricted to stop people insulting anyone whether they meant it or not. No idea Ricky. Like everyone else I haven't seen any pre-season friendlies. Other than a third hand report from Stevie Mallan that Morias and Foley were outstanding during the Hibs game. I've not really heard much. I don't do twitter and the club haven't put on any match reports I can see. We do have some signings though and Goody is making positive noises along with Tony's usual world beating predictions. Alan Stubbs is bemoaning the fact Tony didn't give him a magic hat has made the news too. In fact there has been more coverage of that than any of our pre season games. I'm missing the football big time and I don't think TV coverage of empty stadiums will do much to scratch the itch. Still what is, is what is. COYS

Shull give it a rest. Football fans come in many guises. For those like you who see their team as some sort of leading light through which the virtues of society should be set for all to see. I can understand the pain. Prices should be fair; integrity should present, and good moral standards should be set for all to see. Its almost a religion to guys and gals like you and all you see is corruption, deceit and disappointment. What a let down Mate. I feel your pain. Well I don’t. Most folk I know give passing thoughts to their team’s politics. Bigots excepted but probably most of them are in it for the football too. We go to the football for fun. Yep it’s a weird concept but it can be a great day out. Meet your pals, catch up, have food and drink. Travel to weird exotic places and have some banter and a sing song. They go to the match feeling part of something bigger than themselves. That’s the key thing. We can all be billy big fish in our own little ponds of life but there is nothing like the excitement of been part of a team and donning the black and white on a matchday gives you an identity in the wider world where people normally wouldn’t give you a glance. The adventure starts with the planning and ends when you collapse on your settee on whatever day you return from the game. Winning is sublime but it’s not all about winning it’s about taking part. So, for you and your fellow mourners of Scottish football, who want to dance on it’s grave and wallow in its failure. I’m sorry but the game still means a lot to most of us. We work hard for our money and through football we give a lot back to all the communities we visit and the town we support. We don’t just waste it on Football clubs. We support the local businesses who supply food drink transport and anything else we need on our travels, even Taxi’s. More people use the trains on Match days across the UK than they do for work. Being a Buddie, an Arab, A *** , a Hibbee or a whatever, is a life style. Embrace it. It’s got to be better than being a moaning faced, Victor Meldrew. Did you know Richard Wilson (below) was born in Greenock. It's funny how you made me think of him but it sort of makes sense.
