  4. Non supporters out in force tonight...it was a crap game...we won our cup final last week.... what this club has done under SR beggars belief
  5. Got back about half an hour ago, result aside had a great day, my boy was on good form and it was good to see the ground packed, impressions of the match were that the celebrations last week clearly took it out of the players as they looked jaded from the start, the only reason Mandron lasted the full game was because the bench looked really weak. Strain and Tanser clearly not recovered and Gogic had a couple of brain fart moments, I don't see what McMenamin brings to the side on the right but on the left he looked like he could do something but still not convinced, I forgot Boyd-Munce was playing until half way through the first half. Having said all that it has been a brilliant season and hopefully they get a rocket before Wednesday, if we are to get European football it would be good to secure it ourselves.
  6. Last two seasons have been amazing for us, how far we have come since Hibs last day to secure championship future to European Football. There is this frustration though that others have mentioned that we are a team who constantly repeats same mistakes 4 goals since split all absolute howlers(Fraser's today similar to Hibs last season) Boyd Munce inability to hit six yard box with a corner, the teams inability to do anything remotely decent with every throw in, every single free kick today not even close to reaching the 18 yard box just baffling that we never seem to learn from the bad things we do. Would have been nice to secure Europe on our own match day but as it is hopefully Rangers do us a favour on Tuesday.
  7. Absolutely agree about Olu - was our only threat and when he got on the ball you felt things may happen - nowhere near consistent enough but his pace alone worries defences and if he can add some composure to his game then there is a player Also agree about McMenamin - bloody frustrating - way way to often the easy ball backwards Is taken - I expect significantly more from someone who definitely has the talent - hoping his second season will see him will kick on Long aimless balls , bypassing our midfield are not the way we should be playing - O'Hara must have a sore neck as he kept looking up as the ball sailed over his head Killie didn't need to play well as we played right into their hands - that is so annoying and frustrating On the positives - Still been a fabulous season and I would have snapped anyones hand off for 5th place , which If we get is fully merited on the full season we played On the other side of the coin- huge pre season for the gaffer with big players out of contract etc or returning to their club
  8. Frustration and realism go hand in glove and, yes, the step forward since Robbo took charge has been phenomenal. No question about that bud. But as we progress we shouldn’t be accepting losing 11 points against q team, to all intents and purposes, are no better than us. don’t get me wrong I am as happy with our progress as I have ever been in my 60 years of being a buddie but we need to keep focusing on having a consistent winning mentality to the realistic level we can
  9. The stats, and I'm aware the BBC are a bit inconsistent, suggest we're we're in the game although they don't always reflect the reality. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cjq5gkwd1kyt#MatchStats
  10. Second last game of the season. After today's disappointment not too sure how this'll go. At our best we can take the points but if we don't turn up then it'll be nothing.
  11. It's good to be frustrated/disappointed with a touch of reality. The last two seasons have been very good, only, for me, really poor in the cups. We've almost secured 5th, after that we review and hopefully bring in some players who will improve us further. Who'd have thought 3 or 4 seasons ago we'd be where we are.
  12. Agreed bud. More than happy with fifth, can’t complain about that. Nothing from the old firm is a great shout, especially the way we have played against them. the frustration has to be that, in my view, killie are no better than us but have taken 11 points off us.
  13. The Matchday Thread was a joy to read during the game and for a spell after it. 10/10
  14. Same, never saw anything but only disappointment after our last 2 performances. It's not just Killie, although we should be looking to take more from them, but we've taken nothing from the Old Firm. Threatened a couple of games but zero from 7 games is something we need to improve on. The only bonus was Dundee liar so we're still looking very good for 5th which we would have taken at the start of the season.
  15. I didn’t see the game today but have to express my disappointment as to how killie have schooled us this season. For a team one place ahead of us they, for whatever reason, are miles ahead of us. I’m not disrespecting the season they have had and hope it is something we can aspire to. however over 4 games I feel we could have done better especially after our performance last week.
  16. I’m sure you’ll calm down mate and it’s no exactly the biggest statement in the world to offer your pal your season ticket for what it very likely now a dead rubber. 🤣 However, I totally get where you are coming from. It’s really frustrating and we just don’t seem to be able to string two decent performances together. Our so called fortress is now looking more like the house of straw built by the first little pig.
  17. Quite right Bud, quite right! 🍺 I'm working tomorrow so no beers for me!
  18. I'm still scratching my head with Conor McMenamin. There's a player in there but I'm not sure where he's best suited. I'm not convinced on the right-hand side and constantly having to cut inside to get the ball with his left foot is the best idea. The pass on the left-hand side of the park to setup Toysoi Olusanya was fantastic!
  19. @BigYardsAndBasher totally agree, left the ground raging, can't be arsed anymore with the fans are turning up and the players don't. I know i'm fuming and ranting but tonight is enough for me. Already offered my season ticket to someone for Wednesday. Can't be arsed. James Scott is the new Jim Gardinar in my opinion. Rant over, I'm going to get pished, lol
  20. I think that's one of the poorest performances since Stephen Robinson took over. For me, the only one to get pass marks today was Toyosi Olusanya. If that left-footed shot that hit the bar had gone in, what a cracker of a goal that would have been! The others have done well for most of the season but I thought we could have beaten Kilmarnock today and put a bit of pressure on them but it wasn't to be. "A bad day at the office". Euan Anderson didn't help matters. Does "persistent fouling" not count anymore? Marley Watkins had two blatant pushes on our players. He gave a free-kick for the first one on Marcus Fraser but ignored the second push on James Bolton. Then the constant time wasting and the old "is it me that's to go off" shite. Cheating Killie Boys.
  21. Hopefully a clause to cancel James Scott contact before it starts and a championship club are willing to give us a percentage of Jamieson’s wages for next season. Nowhere near the level we needed this season, let alone next.
  22. Coughing and spluttering through the end of this season. Bar last week, quite heavily reliant on other teams getting the European dream done for us. Few missed chances but that simply wasn’t good enough. Killie looked to me like they wanted it more the full match. Cmon the blue bigots on Tuesday, just put us out our misery at this slog.
  23. In the name of all that is holy, can someone please tell me what Stephen Robinson sees is either Lewis Jamieson or James Scott? They are both absolute garbage.
