  1. WTF? Excellent idea, go to a match, miss most of the first half- seems fair enough If we are at least 1 goal down!
  2. What is an acceptable price for a club that is going through managers at an alarming rate and have been on the slide for quite some time? SG and his associates will not get the price they where looking for when we where in the premier league, no that we have (so far) slid down 1 division, and if his 'best interests of the club' intentions are sincere, he should consider talking to the fans council, people who are willing to commit to invest in the club. Just a thought
  3. Only kidding? Id have him back at academy, helping to bring the kids through so that we have a good pool of young, enthusiastic players coming through the ranks, and even if they do turn out to be good enough to have other teams eventually buy them, we will still hopefully have the scheme in place where the buying team pay an additional fee for the time they spent at the academy
  4. He was okay, but think someone like Higdon would be good.
  5. How many seasons do you think it will take us to get back up? The championship has quite a few good teams in and although I hope we go back up in one, I can maybe see us being down for 2 seasons. We need to best prepare and hope the team can be built to do as well as possible for us and get us back to the Premiership,
  6. I liked Newton, although he didnt perform quite as well in his second season. Him and Isma back would be good. Well, we can dream I suppose
  7. Plastic pitches arent the way forward. Too many injuries are being attributed to them and the ball pounces, rolls and skids more unpredictably. Personally, dont think its the way forward
  8. I think Teale has done not too badly all things taken into condsideration, Okay we didnt stay up with him at the help but think of the stuff he has had to deal with, like inheriting a load of duds that TC had brought in, Losing McLean, Injuries galore, the DOB's reluctance to fart a nugget etc. Jose Mourinho would have been lucky to keep us up if presented with the challenges that Teale has had to. The job someone does often depends a lot on the tools at their disposal....... Think some of the comments are a bit shite, directed at a guy who has, Im my opinion, done the best with what he has has. For next season, whoever we have, we need to give them our support, and hope the DOB provide support to them to try and help get us back to the top flight

  10. We will still have a problem. We either need an owner/consortium with A) Deep Pockets PROVEN experience in being able to bring and raise revenue C) Both At the end of the day, If we dont have someone who can fund the club, effectively manage the cashflow and control debt, we will still in a similar situation or if things slide more, we would really be in the shit
  11. I'm not saying he should stay or go, but his position is becoming more difficult to justify with the results and the fact that there is a 'Tommy Craig must go' thread doesn't bode well.
  12. Aye,But Id rather be that that a shirtlifter (you)
  13. Quite like a wee ale or two, and the Wetherspoons Real ale festival should be on the go soon. The Last post, Next to Gilmour Street Train station normally has a few, and The Counting House at George Square in Glasgow tends to have a lot, as its quite a big place.
  14. Oban 15 Years is a nice one (first real malt I tried after a visit up there a few years ago, and little to do when it a freezing cold and wet START OF MAY) Went on tour of distillery and had a few drams at the end. Jura Superstition is quite good, as is Highland Park 12 year old
  15. Had a dram of the Lidl stuff, queen Margot' or something like that, But i though they only done blended Whisky- Could be wrong though
  16. Seen a few 'For Let' flats in the Sandstone Tenements on Love Street that don't look too bad, only thing is its near to where the stadium used to be. Tore it down but doesn't look like much is happening with the place. Even though Love Street was old, and parts of it a bit decrepit, I miss the place and it had an atmosphere that we just don't seem to have at St.Mirren park, apart from that its a nice, all be it, wee stadium
  17. No climb down as there wasnt anything I had to climb down from, and no problem here either, Its just typical Faraway 'I dont agree with your opinion/what your saying, so will, in some manner or another take exception to it' posting. its what your known for and a bit sad and petty to be honest
  18. Nah, I'll leave you guys to it
  19. Away and raffle your doughnut. Im half bead-rattler myself, and a friend from that side of the divide coined the phrase. so many folk are far too fecking keen to take exception to things that folk say. Take a seat and calm yourself eh?
  20. Shull, Faraway, Maximillion- your very own thread, how lucky are you guys
  21. Only because your the president of it. Hope the wee yin is the brains of the family
