  1. They have different strengths. Liam is great going forward but definitely suspect at the back and was responsible for a number of goals we lost last season. Paul is not as aggressive going forward can deliver a good cross. He is a much better defender with superior positional awareness (experience) I believe they could challenge each other for that slot - both would have a decent shot of startong depending on who the opposition is.
  2. We are a family and child friendly club and I want to see us stay that way. And I am confident that's the way the Chairman and Bod view things too. I cannot think of any scenario where that would be put at risk.
  3. If the boot was on the other foot I'd like to think we'd have been moaning about oir failure to beat/score heavily against part ters rather than complaining about the format of the competition which,as others have pointed out already, we're well publicised and the same for everyone.
  4. I remember the Hearts fans going on to the pitch to get to us as they couldnt get over the fence, and dragging my then girlfriend by her jacket collar up Love St as bricks and bottles nd bits of pavement rained down on us. Worst I remember at a home match. Ibrox was never ever a pleasant experience especially inside the ground (anyone remember the ICF attacking us charging down from the entrances behind us?) And crossing the bridge on the way to Easter Rd was always touch and go.
  5. Ues, I'd rather have had them at home, but now there is absolutely zero expectation or pressure on us. And I don't see us performing as badly as last year so - Bring It On.
  6. Very fond memories of the 4-2 win over Celtic and 6-2 over Hearts, alomg with numerous voctories over Ton home and away, but more recently the 6-2 home win over Ayr was magical and reaffirmed my belief we could stay up. What a day that was.
  7. I paid up for the year - £50? I don't watch each new feature as they're posted, instead I tend to store them up and binge watch early mornings at the weekend. Not sure I'd go as far as.to say it's VFM but I do enjoy it; especially the interviews with the players. I am happy to pay the money to the club - unfortunately they know that too.
  8. Should be a really interesting match. Dundee are in a similar position to us - fans frustrated by lack of firepower and no sign of new personnel on the horizon. A good tester for the opener but not one we should be frightened of. No reason we can't start the season with a home win.
  9. Nice to thnk we could score first, an early opener. I'm sure that would help settle the players and take a bit of the pressure off.ayne even allow is to get us playing with some confidence.
  10. Anyone know if St.Mirren radio is covering the match today ?
  11. Trying to recall a season when our defence didn't give me the fear - I include championship winning seasons. But I concur with your positive outlook for today. Hopefully things start to fall into place , rather than fall apart.
  12. Yes, I thought I'd heard the Spartans keeper played a blinder. Can't legislate for that or expect to face that sort of performance from opppsong keepers every week.
  13. OK. Appreciate the update. Another name crossed off the imaginery list...
  14. Anyone fancy us looking at Alex Schalk ex-Ross County ? Noticed today they'd released him but didn't see any new club. Not prolific but plenty experience. Worth a look ?
  15. Certainly one to win, but 3-1 won't be enough to qualify. Recent results and performances aside, there-s no reason why we shouldn't expect to be able to hammer them properly. And who knows, perhaps well get a pleasant surprise today. Perhaps not.... Sent from my SM-G900FD using Black and White Army mobile app
  16. Can always hope he's wrong, however unlikely that may be. Sent from my SM-G900FD using Black and White Army mobile app
  17. At last a signing, and one I am excited about. Really hope Greg Stewart will follow. Sent from my SM-G900FD using Black and White Army mobile app
  18. I agree that convincing him to join us rather than fakes is a bit of a coup. Anyone know what his record was like with them last season ? Sent from my SM-G900FD using Black and White Army mobile app
  19. When did that happen ? There is a player in there. I'd like to see Stewart start tomorrow.
  20. He seemed to get positive comments after the Killin match, along with King. They didn't become bad players in a week. They all need time. COYS KTF
  21. I assume Cammy not happy where he's playing. AS needs to move him back to his natural role. Way to go Bairdy ! Could be the making of him.
  22. I don't believe we have a dressing room at the moment. Too many new signings, young guys moving up from England, stepping up a level too. I don't believe it's divided, just not together. Guys like Cammy Smith and Baird need to step up and help McGinn get everyone settled in and focused.
