  1. The Americans do indeed have bases all over, but it’s interesting how they just happen to surround Iran with them, having been less than friendly to the Iranians over the decades. If Iran had bases like that along the Canadian and Mexican borders there would be absolute uproar. By all means I’m not saying Iran is a wonderful place to live with a fantastic government, but they are not the aggressors here. I made it as far as the headline before giving up on that article. It amuses me how the US media always manage to come up with conclusions that Russia/Iran/random enemy always decides to attack a bunch of innocent people for no reason while the West never does anything like this.
  2. Why does the US appear to have all of these bases around one random country? Yep, not aggressive in any way whatsoever.
  3. I’m sure Popescu and Hladky’s debut were against Alloa and that didn’t go to plan in the opening 45! Sometimes the easier matches are all but that...
  4. Aye, but have but have you got a cock or breasts?
  5. I’m not sure. Long term the only CB we have is McCarthy as Famewo is on loan and the other two are in the latter stages of their career. It really depends on what the permanent options are in the summer.
  6. Bang on the money. That’s my worries eased now, good stuff.
  7. I always felt that with a competent and experienced CB next to him, he was fantastic. He could have thrived playing alongside Broadfoot this season.
  8. The problem with Paul McGinn playing CB is that we have no full back cover on a normal day, hence as you state above the inclusion of Flynn at RB. It might be okay for now, but there’s a reason Paul is a RB and Ryan is a midfielder, and at some point I fear they will be exploited and ripped a new hole. I’ll give you Foley, who seems to be one of our most competent players. I can’t say much on him as I don’t see the games, but those who do will know if we are missing something from Foley not being in midfield, or if we are better as a team with him at CB.
  9. Bairdy staying with M*rt*n until end of season Can’t say I’m happy about this, unless we are aiming to bring in another CB. Mack and Broadfoot’s injuries have shown having 3 CBs, including two of their age is not a good way forward.
  10. Good luck Conor. Hope this is worth the fee. I wonder how much we’ve paid out for him.
  11. Not necessarily true. Taxi licenses don’t just get handed out to any random person on the street. It also doesn’t take much to have the license suspended or cancelled.
  12. I was reading about this earlier. I used to love watching the Lakeside on the BBC, and I can’t believe how far down the BDO has gone downhill as it did used to be a decent tournament. It appears that moving from the Lakeside was the final nail needed to finish the coffin. I won’t be surprised if the BDO ceases to exist soon. It’s a massive shame, but it isn’t going to match the PDC in any shape or form now.
  13. I wouldn’t say the unions are 100% useless. In the past they had helped me out a couple of times. One occasion seen the company aim to shift me department without any real warning, and as a result breached contract. After days of arguing with management over it (who couldn’t seem to give me a valid reason for the move) I contacted the union and the company immediately backed down. The other occasion involved myself facing disciplinary proceedings, to which the union aided me well and helped me through the case. Unfortunately their lack of action over the recent situation was enough to make me cancel my membership. Indeed the incoming contracts were a big reason into my decision to move on and escape (I’m still there on a seasonal basis but no longer rely on it). Your second point is spot on.
  14. “Outstanding away win at Arbroath” Are Morton that shit these days they count a win over a part time side as outstanding?
  15. I chucked my union membership last year. The company I used to work for were enforcing contract changes that were unacceptable. The union in question pretty much knew what was needed to force the company into giving in, but never opted to take the steps necessary. I only work for the company on a seasonal basis now and have moved onto pastures new (into a job you can highly relate to), and as it happens the union membership would be near useless anyway. However, if I was still unfortunate enough to still be at the previous company, I would still have cancelled the union membership after the contract changes came into force.
  16. Is Wongalongadong coming in to stiffen up the midfield? I heard Martin Hardie was coming out of retirement.
  17. We’re winning away We’re winning away How shite must you be We’re winning away
  18. I agree with this, especially in a stadium as low as years. It’s decent at the likes of Killie and Hearts with a high gradient which provides a decent view, but in our stadium it’s quite pish. That would just deter me even more, possibly to the point of not having a season ticket. I would have no intention of taking my two boys to a bigotfest, and being asked to pay extra money for games I wouldn’t want to attend would just put me off the ST entirely.
  19. It’s hardly an incentive to those in the Family Stand though. If I was taking my kids to games, had a season ticket in the Family Stand and had to pay up to see the bigots, I wouldn’t bother. Alongside not wanting to expose them to the sectarianism taking place.
  20. The United States of America - Dictators of the world. All these regime changes in the Arab lands, the removed governments in South America, it’s all to fit the US needs. If these moves were being made by the North Koreans there would be hell up, so why the f**k so the US continue to get away with this?
  21. Ideal time to post this as the conversation is about wealth and fairness... Top FTSE bosses earn the average yearly wage in three days
  22. I’m looking forward to requoting this seven pages later after Hull play another three games and all hell breaks loose over him playing/not playing. Remember Saints are on a break atm so some on here need something else to argue about 🙄
  23. Link Shock horror, BoJo the clown defends the US clown and supports the assassination of the man who masterminded the downfall of ISIS in Syria.
  24. I don't think attacking Iraqi troops in Kuwait in 1991 can be classed as an attack on Kuwait. Makes you wonder how accurate some of the rest are. There are plenty of places the USA can be justifiably accused of attacking - including other, tenuous at best, claims just to pad the list actually detracts from the point being made. The point is that the Americans have a continual habit of this sort of thing. The Iranians don’t. It’s also worth noting the lies the US peddled about Iraq/Libya/Syria to make intervention “justifiable”.
