  1. Absolutely. As soon as Morton went to 3 at the back we should have went to 2 up top. We had the chance to really stretch them and use the extra man.
  2. I was full of praise last week and for 45 minutes today they were equally as good. Last week we didn't get what we deserved but this week we got exactly what we deserved. You would have thought we were the team down to 10 men. 2 weeks in a row we have shown that we don't have the squad to deal with Quinn going off or the tactical know how to change it and cope with him not being on the park. Credit to Morton, they never gave up and went for it but we did everything we could to allow them back into the game.
  3. So SD was right about all 11 being board members. At least another 30 pages to come now, FFS
  4. I thought Mallan had a decent first half but was dreadful once Quinn went off and he was sitting deeper. First half Willow Flood gave him no time at all on the ball, constantly pressuring him but did ok. 2nd half he had much more time on the ball but I lost count of the number of times he had the ball at his feet with the chance to drive forward and he elected to play a hopeless long ball. This was probably more likely to be down to the change in shape and being instructed to sit deeper when Quinn went off but he was really poor in the 2nd half.
  5. Coors light! You watching your figure or wife no' letting you on the Peroni these days?
  6. Totally agree, we deserved at least a point. Only gripe with today was changing shape when Quinn went off. Some fresh legs were needed but I felt a straight swap would have been fine as the system was working quite well. After this United controlled the midfield. 0 points but a very good performance away from home against a bigger club who are top of the league.
  7. Thought we played quite well and definitely deserved something from the game. The change of shape didn't quite work IMO though, we really struggled in midfield when Clarkson came on for Quinn. Ref was another incompetent numpty. Players applauded off the park from a great support who were very positive throughout. Feeling fairly optimistic for the remainder of the season. Merry Xmas, COYS, bring on the 'Ton.
  8. Cheers. Taking my wee fella and my nephew.
  9. Yeh, must be cos we rejected him eh? That was a poor decision and just highlights these guys aren't biased, they're just not good at their job.
  10. Don't like this tweet at all. Maybe he's just a really shite ref like pretty much every other Scottish ref? Great result today, back to back league wins. When was the last time we achieved this? This was the best possible response the the Lee Miller biting incident, dealt with our own problems and not let it distract us from an important week. Well done JR and the players who are obviously working really hard behind the scenes and believing in themselves and the management team. Onwards and upwards. COYS
  11. The trackside boards definitely get removed.
  12. I've waited til today before commenting, didn't want to criticise the young lad too much for what he did. Far more experienced players than Jack have let their team down in a similar fashion (violent conduct) and went on to learn from it. He shouldn't have hit out but after hearing his claims of getting bit and seeing the images it does look like he's telling the truth here. He's young, he's inexperienced and will learn from this. It's easy for us or even some of his fellow pros to say he shouldn't have hit him after this but who knows how any of us would have reacted to a bite like that. He may not be the best centre half in the word but he's our centre half and like it or not we will probably need his services before the season's out. I'm sure he regrets his actions, time to get behind the lad.
  13. Today's the day. 9/1 both teams to score and a Saints victory. COYS
  14. I doubt we get 400 home fans on a pay per play league game. It may inconvenience season ticket holders though. 10 pies or 1000 pies, doesn't make a difference to the club.
  15. Exactly the statement I expected and the right course of action from our Chairman.
  16. I agree with this. I've never suggested handing over cash and not looking for it back.
  17. I agree we should be self sufficient but every business needs cash reserves or the run the risk of going down the tubes. We currently don't have any and continue to spend every penny that comes in.
  18. Don't know how accurate it is but I've heard it cost around £1k per day to run it. I wouldn't get it repaired right now and if it was working I would have been reluctant to switch it in for this game. It would need to be an additional live televised game (where extra money was involved) or a game we're expecting a large attendance before I would switch it on. Buy some covers in the meantime and take your chances with the protection they offer.
  19. I've said it time and time again on here. This is the reason we should be saving the extra SMISA cash. It shouldn't be getting spent every 3 months. It should without doubt be getting put away for when we really need it. What will happen is Gordon will be forced to bail us out to protect his investment or the board will ask the SMISA members to dig into their pockets for an emergency loan. This is the reason I decided not to pledge any more than my £10 per month to SMISA.
  20. Naismith was too quick to push out to the right but the entire defenc was a shambles in that passage of play. Dung had overloaded the back post and had 3 players right on Baird and Naismith, nobody doing any organising. Had Jason stayed they still had a great chance of winning that ball due to the man advantage. The initial cross didn't come in, the entire defence moved out apart from Baird who played 3 or 4 players onside. The defensive line was like a curly whirly but had Baird stepped up then the Dung players would have been offside or forced to move into a more congested area. Poor from Naismith but Baird was also poor, as was the general communication and organisation from the entire defence and keeper.
