I don't know how the bid's going to go tomorrow and I'm keeping my fingers crossed we can pull a rabbit out the hat, but I just wanted to say well done to everyone who has signed up - over £11,000 a month.
I'm astounded by the response in the last few weeks.

You all make me proud to be a Buddie xx

if you wish big J, i went to my sons stag do in riga latvia and subsequently got pished on the friday and saturday, unfortunately on the sunday - the day we were due to fly home we went to the main hotel and although not drinking i was still in a happy mood and spent time chatting up young ladies mostly airline staff, when we went to check in a young lady greeted us at the door of the airport i smiled at her and gave a wink etc, and she immediately informed me i would not be flying that day even though there were others worse for the drink than me, she would not let me on the plane, i was informed by one of the other airline staff that normally i'd have been okay to get on as i wasn't really showing signs of being too drunk, but that airline staff were always on the lookout for the slightest reason to refuse you access to your flight because they can get you to buy another ticket for another flight and they can get a cut of this, or if the flight is overbooked you are an easy get out - without costing them any compensation

Sevco is the company that bought the assets of the soon to be liquidated rangers tax evading fc.
Within hours McCoist announced he was going to walk away as he had disovered Charlie Green was allegedly going to sack him and then King Walter rode in on his not so white horse and demanded that Green sell the assets to him and his consortium after supposedly seeing a friend in tears at what had happened to the peepul. Since then McCoist has said he doesn't do walking away and will stay. Green has said that this is a new club but their history has existed for 140 years. The SFA has announced they will push forward plans to merge the 2 league bodies and the SPL fixtures list due tomorrow will show 'club 12'. No doubt McGregor and a few of his team mates will now say they will definitely stay with the newco as this club 12 sounds like it could be some tasty lap dancing club.
In other news it looks like McCoist is going to have SFA charges brought against him for his demands for transparency over the judicial panel http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/327062 about have way down is the lines 'McCoist broke off his holiday, not for the first time, to reassure fans that he will be at Ibrox for the foreseeable future and to deal with business for the stricken club.
Ironically, that came as it was disclosed that the SFA are going to charge him over his outburst in April when he demanded to know the names of the members of the SFA’s Independent Judicial Panel'

the consortium have in my opinion done all they can to feather their own nest - they are business people after all, but they have had too much influence on the cic procedure in my opinion, which is one reason i have not pledged to cic, the cic after they have agreed a price and purchased the 52% will be a different prospect for me to consider, but i'll leave my comments on that situation until after hopefully the 52% is secured by cic

On this forum I tend to express my opinion, or agree with others. If their is a saints fan opinion I disagree with I may well offer my counter view, but I don't attack them (perhaps unless they are hell bent on making it personal), when it's happened to me I usually choose to ignore them if it persists.
Today and with the reviews of last night there is a real wave of personal attacks taking place that are putting saints fan against saints fan. Evidence what was said about Smisa last night, a group set up to protect our club, get involeved with youth developmnet and the community.
I challenge many points/proposals put forward by 10000 hours, but I don't result to personal attacks against fellow saints fans.
So why is it so nasty in here now?

But RA said on the 10000hours Forum (which has disappeared) that the club & the CIC were seperate entities - why should membership of the CIC allow you discounts on club goods and decrease the club's revenue?

We're coming at it from opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to our view of the current BoD. However, I really struggle to see how anyone can defend the current behaviour. I also don't think 10000 Hours can get away with pointing the finger at the consortium for the deadline / blackmailing of fans - they milked the Herald article for all they were worth at the meeting last week. A massive lack of respect shown to the fans that have stuck with the BoD through the years of utter shite at SMFC. We played a significant part in allowing the guardians to keep the club going to. Now we have to fund their pay-off with £10 years + of debt.....fans already pay plenty to keep our club going.

shame indeed, i was looking at this building yesterday whilst out for a cigarette break from drinking soiree with workmates, it is of course the flats above ...... a favourite watering hole and probably the oldest in the town

I was swithering on whether to support the happy clappy mob moving forward as they really have got their hopes up about the CIC. I'm not overly comfortable with that though as I'm not convinced myself - with the deadline I think you need to make a personal choice based on your own understanding.
The happy clappy mob will be all over this trying to get people to sign up because they believe it is the best thing for the club. I don't think they have the information available at the moment to allow them to do that and are acting on emotion rather than balance of opinion on real facts. That being said I won't be trying to talk anyone out of it either.
There is a deadline and people need to make their own minds up now.

I was pretty underwhelmed by the meeting. I had hoped for addtional information; however it was pretty much the same sales pitch I have sat through a number of times. The detail I'd hoped we'd see never transpired.
It was pretty much a case of you need to act now, the consortium will sell to a bidder - no details available on who the bidders are or the nature of the bids - that information won't be in the article tomorrow - just confirmation of two bids from SG.
The finance slide, which I believe Div has made available online had even less info than the FAQ response and there was a fair bit of waffling when some chap who I don't think was from SMiSA questioned it.
The challenge to all fans at the end was to get out and convince everyone you know. Saddens me to say it, but as much as I'd like to convince myself that this will work it all sounds half-baked. The main element I would like to be convinced about is the financial side. The final appeal from REA related to get your friends signed up, if they do they're only risking £50 - I don't think anyone is worried about risking £50 - it is all about the club.
If it all looks okay after a few months and I can actually see how the CIC performs against the debt then I will sign up to help get rid of the debt faster.
Genuinely hope it works out, but not prepared to sign up to something that could put the club at risk. The club's future is not mine to gamble with.

well said sid , SMISA have only the interests of the club/support as their reason for being and i would tend to think that if they have issues with the set up then i will go with their decision and if the shit hits the fan i will lend my support to them, not to something i don't believe is workable from a tenner pledgers point of view

an online voting system would be fine as long as the name of each voter was listed under the proposal they were backing, and postal voters listed also

I don't think the usual suspects are trying to discredit you at all sid , i think they are insulting the intelligence of all of us with their contrived posts and the loaded article in the herald ( FFS it looked like a question and answer session made up from all the posts on here), decisions have been made already on the way the cic will be run, fans are being treated with contempt, BoW saint said there would have been bedlam if it was put to the pledgers , this is one thing i have agreed with since day one, i wondered how hundreds of fans would be able to be brought together and where that could be (how many fans can be accommodated at a meeting in SMP) and also came to the conclusion that any meeting would be bedlam given that we can hardly agree to disagree with each other on here. Now i know the answer to my question - it doesn't matter as the decisions already made exclude pledgers, and it will take 75% of cic members to agree on a proposal before it gets anywhere near the next stage, would 75% be able to get into a meeting at SMP and indeed would 75% be able to or be bothered to attend.

Sonny - did we nearly lose those buildings during thier refurbishment ? ( around 20 years ago?) During the refurb all that was really left was the front facing facade and i seem to remember at the time talk of it being unstable to the point it might have to be brought down.
