  1. Not for me he wasn't, he may have gone one to have a reasonable career down South but he was a bag of nerves for us. Never felt even vaguely confident when he was in goals for us.
  2. Even in my younger days I hated them, they served the purpose of a late drink, nothing else. Too many nights spent in great pubs, enjoying good chat and listening to good music were ruined by going to clubs. Overinflated entry fee, overpriced beer, over zealous bouncers. Won't miss them.
  3. Howard was average. There wasn't much between him and Chris Smith which says it all.
  4. I think we've got to be realistic, McGinn and to a greater extent McLean are good players but not as good as McCarthy, McCarthur, Gauld etc. Its been proven by the quality of the clubs in for them. McGinn in my opinion will go on to become a steady Scottish Premiership player who might get really lucky and get a move to the English Championship but he's not any better than that.
  5. Aye, the players that Murray said he may have to wait till August for?I'm guessing he's probably waiting on them like he said he was. Don't let that get in the way of your agenda though.
  6. That was the first that sprung to my mind, changed direction mid dive. I remember being behind the goals in that game, tears were streaming down big Yardley's face when he scored.
  7. Yeah it's all John McGinn's fault.
  8. Just heard from one of their players it's been cancelled.
  9. We're playing Dundonald juniors in a friendly also, I'm guessing it'll be our U20's though.
  10. Possibly, although there is the fact that what we'd offered him as a wage has been freed up.
  11. Looks as if Murray has been planning for life without him anyway. Don't wish him any ill but I certainly don't have the same respect for him as I did for McLean when he left. As always, if you're not with us you're against us.
  12. Was that not Chris Innes?
  13. He's on trial with the Pars, scored for them today against East Fife. They seem pretty confident he'll sign a years deal.
  14. A million times better than that abomination last season. If only the shield thing was a bit easier on the eye and it'd be perfect.
  15. He's hardly raiding them by possibly signing one of their players.
  16. It's a harsh world though and perhaps his lad wasn't good enough?Just a thought.
  17. I believe it was his son, also the son of all his aliases.
  18. Does anyone else think we've not signed anyone yet because the season is only just finished and we've only just appointed a new manager who by his own admission is still to speak to a few of our players(therefore we don't know who will accept new deals, pay off etc).
  19. True but I'd add further that a fit Thommo has more to offer our team next season than the other two. Also would right the wrong of appointing the other two as coaches last year and ignoring Thommo which I found baffling.
  20. Thank feck this season is finally over. No more Arquin. For those who were at the game were there any obvious farewell's from Thommo or Goodwin?
  21. As much as its a negative to be relegated to a lower tier it's a fantastic opportunity for a forward thinking club to capitalise on the new playing environment and the probability of a winning team to garner interest from new/lapsed/young fans.
