  1. shit... first time I have heard the full story... that made me cry! Tragic. Just awful.
  2. How mental and entertaining were Airbourne.... ac/dc but only moreso!
  3. It happened in slo mo right in front of me ... I could see him think... it was as if there was a thought bubble above him... he wanted to hit it but knew he would have to score... he then decided to wait for the bounce to give him more time to prepare... but the bounce then beat him by taking the ball away from him... tragic but all down to confidence. A Confident striker would simply have thrown himself at the ball.
  4. The lad is not only one of the best talents at the club... but a fine young man and great ambassador for our club.
  5. I actually don't think it was all that bad a game. We were well on top for long phases... and has some absolutely wonderful passing moves. For spells, we were actually a joy to watch. Our problem is twofold and is obvious. Up front, we miss the Tommohawk like nobody would have believed. This is a tragic bit of bad luck... but that said... Thommo is a class above anybody we could realistically expect to have at the club... and we need to prepare for life after him anyway!!! Bigger problem is a long standing one... when we are so defensively fragile, we can have all the possession in the world and all the pretty passing movements out... but we can be cut open and destroyed by one simple pass. Twice we were sucker punched when well on top. It is to our credit that twice we fought back... but those defensive frailties have been glaringly obvious for how long now? Full marks to McLean and McGinn who are starting to look like a midfield partnership that can function without a minder... our boys are growing up!!! Please get off their backs and encourage them....can you even begin to imagine life without them at present?! Still wondering what on earth Caldwell has to do to get a run! He had a presence and a lot more effective movement when he came on. Ball is devoid of confidence... that was obvious in his missed sitter. Had he simply thrown himself in the direction of the ball I'm convinced it would have bounced off him and in... but he didn't want to hit it first time and misjudged the bounce completely... purely a confidence issue imo. Ultimately a draw was right and fair... but what a lost opportunity.
  6. I liked it... but I also thought there were enough genius bits in Burniston to make the crappy bits bearable.
  7. Then expect yer £1 to be docked this week. ;)
  8. The Blue Brazil would obviously want to face a "weakened" side... So I don't understand why they don't want to wait until Moshni is back!!!!!
  9. Maybe not... but he was a great player and if not injury prone I'd have had him at Saints years ago in a heartbeat... and as a manager... his record compares favourably to other new managers!
  10. Mile high club membership application?
  11. No he didn't. Do you write headlines for tabloids? Do you honestly believe one man could "scrap the Human Rights Act"?
  12. Am I alone in having concerns about our fitness? Sat we were in Celtics faces for an hour... then hit the wall. A couple of players had suffered a virus... but not all 11. On the back of running out of steam after 60 minutes on Saturday... if fitness is an issue... i fear for us now.
  13. Aye... but winning pontoon on the bus up to the game disnae get us points!!!!!
  14. Was right... Tess out... Kelly lb Wylde left mid... Rest as per Sat.
  15. Apparently Tess is struggling. .. So probably same team that started against "them"... but Kelly slipping back one to cover for Tess and Wylde coming in wide left in place of Kelly. Only other change would be Caldwell starting in place of Marwood.
  16. Happy to be horrendously wrong in my prediction of a hiding. Celtic were honking.... but McGinn set the tone as we pressed and harried. When I saw the linrup i feared the worst... but for such a young team they did so well till the legs went.
  17. Funnily enough... 5-0 or 8-0 are in my mind! I'll be happy if we can keep it to five!
  18. If we can keep it tight for the first 93 minutes. .. ... we will still lose to a 94th minute mistake or failing that a 95th minute penalty!
  19. Noooòoooooooo Seriously? Oh crap... what now... Back to Cheesey and Goodwin as our central defence. Only plus is that Osbourne provides some steel in front of them whereas last season we didn't have any dig whatsoever when Goodwin was at the back. Tess? He is an asset going forward and has been putting in a supply of tasty crossed... but look at some of the goals we have lost this season due to players easily beating Tess in the air.
  20. Really? With us... ANY time a team needs a wee hand we are willing providers. I fear a mauling. I will be there supporting... but I truly fear a humiliation.
  21. Yet Accies v Well was apparently a cracker and the Hamilton team that finished had only one player over 23... Imrie!
  22. Radio only covered them till the Dundee derby started then switched... beautifully abandoning the green brigade in the middle of a match. They then switched to the Lanarkshire derby... so full marks to them.
