simon templar
Worst St.Mirren strip ever. And you know the thing is, I remember in the weeks building up to the cup final in '87, the talk was that we would have a new strip in time for the final and would wear it for the first time that day! Thank f**k we never, the white strip looked so much better. In the end, the only difference was that we unveiled the new sponsor (Clydeside) that day on the strip. But does anyone know why we had black numbers in the final when all season we had worn red numbers? Bit off topic, I know!
snudge
i always wondered why we went from umbro & adidas ( top names imo) to pish like matchwinner, core and xara. was it just to save a buck? as i remember, the costs of the replicas actually went up after we moved to a 'lesser' brand. i dont think weve had as good a shirt since the cup in 87. apart from the black one of course
simon templar
The last SPL shirt was a shocker as well. Hated that with it's full black panel at the back just so the commentators could see the players' names.
Stoi
How much did it go for? I've got one and probably about time i got rid of it!

Reidy1987
I've got a Phoenix Mitsubishi top that I never wear because it's a jinx. Anybody want to buy it? hardly worn, only wiped my arse on it once...
simon templar
Oh dear...that shirt was used AFTER the SPL season, you know, the one when TH was sacked and never had players names on it 239238 Oh aye...I'm talking shite. Och well, it was still a f**kin crap strip. Maybe Xara put it's design into production for that reason though...?

Reidy1987
That one was made by Uhlsport. The two Ulhsport strips (the Arriva one the following season was also made by them) had superb badges on them, fully embroidered into the material not sewn on like the current one. 239241 Oh aye, it's a lovely top. Very well made. BUT STILL A FECKIN JINX!

It was a touch of class that top though! Would love to see it make a comeback....even as a retro thing via Provan sports!
