Paisley's own independent Apollo Records was featured. To be repeated in the wee sma' hours (2:20am). chalky1 Posted August 25, 2013 Report Share Posted August 25, 2013 Very enjoyable watch, had me thinking of some of the shops that I used to purchase vinyl from in Paisley, so far Record Factory, Record Market, A wee shop in the piazza beside the old DER telly shop, Stereo One. I can even remember a wee shop in Ferguslie that used to sell records. There was also Woolworths, Boots and Littlewoods. Mid 90's though I did move to cds, used to be good going into shops like Apolla (Record Market) and chatting about the music that I was looking to buy, can even remember me lending some of the shop assistants my cds that I had just purchased so they could listen to it. The last 6 or so years I have moved to downloading my music from specialised on-line sites, no way near the same but it does suit me to listen and download 10 plus songs at a time of my choosing.
