The incident took place at the Champions League second qualifying round second leg against Cliftonville at Celtic Park on 23 July. Uefa say the sanction has been imposed following the initial charge of improper conduct by the club's fans. Celtic overcame Cliftonville, Elfsborg and Shakhter Karagandy on their way to the Champions League group stages. Turn up in tens of thousands for friendlies etc , support the team , manager etc , imagine that at a football club ? Saints & Supporters are not synonymous you could believe on these forums. You only have to watch matches in Turkey, Greece and even Italy and flares are common place. Obviously these teams are not fined or some of them would be going bust such is the frequency of the use of flares.
