Guest TPAFKATS
Wind speeds predicted to hit a massive 15mph tonight, batten down the hair pieces !:-D The problem is more gusts and potential to blow fireworks off trajectory and into crowds or buildings
davidg
They should go ahead with it on the 5th.
Ayrshire Saints
Total Jessies Troon is on the beach tonight and is still on at this moment in time. Typical townies with their H&S pish.
billyg
Only in Paisley ! Last year it was a horrible cold day and it went ahead , today the town is buzzing ,the weather is decent and the display is cancelled !
Guest TPAFKATS
It could've resulted in the institute, tyre place, Bensons etc all being burned down. Hmmm...
HSS
They should go ahead with it on the 5th. The fireworks will be getting set off on......... The day of Saints next victory.
FS
Well it's now about the time of night the display would have finished, no winds at all. Rumours abound that they didn't apply for a safety certificate in time and the weather thing is just a smoke screen. I'm inclined to believe that, the other theory is the Scottish Labour led RC were instructed to let off all their rockets at GHQ this week... ;-)
Seaside Nipper
The fireworks will be getting set off on......... The day of Saints next victory. Hmmmmmm, tend to think more of a damp squib
davidg
Cancelation the day before, surely the fireworks would all be on site, did they return them? Forecast is brilliant for tomorrow, piss poor that no attempt was made to move this event. They should have looked at the long range forecast and pencilled it in for the 5th.
