pozbaird
RIP. Part of a truly legendary Scottish team, no matter who you support, a great team, the likes of which will never be seen in Scotland again.
faraway saint
Another old fashioned player with a passion that's not easy to find nowadays. As Poz says above, a player from a team/era that will never be seen again. Time doesn't stop for anyone. RIP.

Guest TPAFKATS
I recall seeing a black and white photo of Tommy Gemmell chasing an East German (?) up the park at Hampden and inflicting a Bishop Brennan style kick up the arse in retaliation. Scotland legend for that alone Edit to add - a great player at a time when there was a fair amount of competition for that accolade in Scotland

Guys like Gemmell, Billy Bremner, John Greig, and others... respect.

East Lothian Saint
Met him at a kids football tournament and ended up going for a couple of pints with him in the Cart Bar in Corkerhill. He was a gent and when some twat in a Rangers Top tried to introduce some old firm bigotry into the conversation, Tommy was as cool as a cucumber and told the guy that he could never play for Rangers because their shirts brought him out in a rash. He could put his drink away as well. Good guy. Thoroughly enjoyed his company and he stood his round. RIP Tommy.
