I think the mention on social media before Saints were able to talk to their own fans is really unfortunate.  I would usually be straying towards cock-up rather than conspiracy while still understanding that if Thistle fans knew there would be an announcement immediately after the game then a lot of Saints fans might have been cut out by Thitle fans piling in as their allocation would have gone super quick. If there are significant numbers of Thisle fans in the away section then there are definitely grounds for complaint.

Indeed, the Maeda situation was pretty much that but the amount of pics with the "lines" drawn on him I've seen are quite astonishing.
