I actually think we have had 4 good performances since McLeish took charge. Should have got more from the game v the rangers. Ran celtic close in the league and gave them one helluva fright in the cup for 90 mins. Beat Aberdeen, home and away and won in Falkirk, deservedly so. Things fell apart in the games that mattered, so that's definitely a concern. At the end of the day, we should have more than enough to get past Thistle but will the bottle hold?
We are not signing 6th tier English pish we are signing players from lower League One and League Two.
That is why we have been top 6 for 3 seasons before this.
We do need to find a better pathway for the youngsters to get to the first team but over the piece the vast majority have not been good enough and have done nothing since leaving St Mirren.
We lose 5 or 6 solid pros every season and replacing them is not easy. Every now and again the recruitment is not up to scratch and when you get injuries like we have had this year to the spine of the team then the depth isn't in the squad so we struggle. Its what Robbo mentioned continually.
