What new platform would be different to a true, progressive labour party, a green party, a lib dem party or a conservative, (small c), party? There would be no place for them. As for the name. IF Scotland were to gain freedom from the shackles of the "union" I think a party with the name Scottish Nationalist Party might have different connotations. I believe the party would split and the members would find a berth in one of the other camps.
