Saint Garf
Yeah, I was sitting just across the tunnel from the boy, it was a nice touch to give him his top, and the whole Newcastle bench looked genuinely concerned, one of the coaches went up to see him before half time and Connor Newton also spoke to the kid from the tunnel. I think Tiote felt like a bit of a shit to be honest, it seemed to me like he'd smashed the ball out of the park in a bit of a huff after not getting a free kick shortly before, but, obviously, hadn't thought it through and didn't mean to hurt anyone. Did the right thing, and the boy seemed ok in the end.

aldo_j
Did Newton & Dummett get a warm welcome last night Was quite cool, with a touch of rain. Certainly not as warm as it has been.... Yeah, bit of a heroes welcome. Newton probably got more praise but that's because he was a subby and could interact with fans.

pozbaird
If players start giving away jerseys every time they hit the ball into the crowd, we're going to run out of No 6 shirts in jig time.
Drew
I also thought the applause from the Saints support for the first goal was a good touch. It was a peach of a finish, right enough.
shull
The biggest round of applause was for the 700 Newcastle fans after Phil thanked them for their 15 quids. Mr Gilmour was doing cartwheels in the Director's Box.
