  1. Althought the traffic system in Paisley is .... unique, it is consistent and on my trips home doesn't seem to have changed a great deal over the years, did there not used to be a speed camera on Canal Street on the stretch with the fire station???
  2. No wonder Cameron's keen on keeping Scotland part of the Union, at the rate the south is sinking they'll have to move the capital to Edinburgh!!
  3. Best mate is a Mackem and he was in a fantastic mood last night, being down here i've regularly gone to both St James and Stadium of Light but much prefer the latter although both stadiums are like perpetual motion...people never seem to stay in their seats, perhaps trying to avoid the footy on offer. Still it would be great if the Sunderland could win it but I fear Man City will score a few!!!
  4. I've converted a load of my vinyl on to PC using a programme called Rip, Edit Burn which (if you've got the patience) allows you to edit out the clicks etc, it's available online. As for record covers always been a big Iron Maiden fan so love their art work.
  5. Wholeheartedly agree with pozbaird, it doesn't take a business genius to recognise that when there has been a lack of supply in previous years that making a modest increase in the numbers produced would be a reasonable business decision, the sale of 10 extra shirts would probably pay for the cost of producing sigificantly more.
  6. Have both of these fabulously nostalgic items, still watch them pre season, bit of a ritual, but Dennis Law looks more embarassing each time I watch it!!
  7. Surely it's a squad game, we need options and a bench that allows us to change things if we need to, more good players and competition is never a bad thing, injuries and loss of form do happen.
  8. My son's at uni in Aberdeen and this is one of the few games we get to go to together, but really they need to have a hard look at themselves!!!
  9. another for my collection, my lass is not going to be happy!!!
  10. Isn't it great to be discussing which of the two options we're happy to see at left back rather than which player we're going to be playing out of position there? A step forward methinks.
  11. Personally, as resident in England, I have been asked on many occasions how i'd vote and have replied that as I won't be living in Scotland I wouldn't expect a vote but i'm glad that all residents have regardless of nationality!!
  12. I agree we should get the young talent on longer deals, it was true that the 2nd and 3rd goals weren't pretty but in an open game like saturday that understandable. Mistakes will inevitably be made but it is learning from those that will determine what sort of gem we've uncovered!
  13. I live south of the border so my feelings are purely emotional however, I do think that if the BT camp win so long as there is a sizeable vote for inependence there will be a significant push for Devo +, which my cynical mind thinks has been the aim all along.
  14. Now then Howard Hughes......I was indeed a member of that illustrious group!
  15. Langcraigs Primary Live and Let Die Battling Robots game (can't remember the correct title, mam thought it would stop my brother and I knocking lumps out of each other, didn't, just fought about the game instead...happy days!)
  16. First Pet.....Kim - mongerel greyhound cross First Time Drunk - didn't drink until I went to uni ( do you know how difficult it is to order soft drinks in a Union bar) so Dundee October 1983 Football idol - difficult one but Archie Gemmill would be up there for best goal ever in a world cup (taking into account the relative abilities)
  17. Agree with Saint In Exile, love the books but suspect politics, in fact Ian Fleming was an odious man as well!!!
  18. By no means have we turned the corner but we've popped our head round and had a good look at what's there. Great to see youngsters getting the chance and taking it and also the levelof encouragement being given by senior pros rather than constant criticism. A draw followed by a win would give the confidence so badly needed to allow the flair players to take (measured) risks and create opportunities for Thommo, McGowan seemed happier and long may that continue!!
  19. The situation we are in at the moment is not one that any of us are happy with, but realistically as others have said we can't do anything about that. What we can do is support the Club that we all love and if it is the case that the manager/players/board change then we'll do what we've always done and support the club to the extent that we can and endure the tough times and revell in the good times that suppporting St Mirren has always provided. COYS
  20. Been to both Vegas and Sharm el Sheik, agree that the music isn't what it used to be but better than piped pop any day!
  21. Hi Callum had a great time, always good to put a face to an avatar and good to know how well represented we are . Now St Mirren beach towels, where would I get a hold of one of them?
  22. First time post prompted by the following. Just back from holiday in Cyprus during which I met a fellow bud on a bus to Paphos. Last holiday saw another of our ilk in Cape Verde got me wondering where is the most remote/obscure/unexpected you've met a fellow supporter (keep it clean)?
