Longtimecoming reacted to shull in Auchinleck Talbot v Glenafton Athletic 4/6/17
That's what winning Cup Finals do.
Great memories.
I still remember vividly the great joy of the 1998 Final at Fir Park.

Brings back memories from a year ago Shull.
Not that I remember much after 6pm on the night we won it!

My mother's friend from church helps out in a foodbank in Ardrossan.
Most of the people using it ARE in employment.
After all the unemployed don't pay rent or many other things people on low pay do.

Again, the emergency services showed they are superb.
Very quick response time, the number of ambulances & police that were on the scene very quickly shows the bravery of all involved as it's not uncommon for further devices to be detonated in these scenarios.
Oh, also the people of Manchester have been superb.
Looking after people, taxis giving free lifts to people and getting on with life this morning despite the horror that happened.

RIP Chris.
It is so hard to take that another relatively young man takes his own life.
Mental health issues although hard to determine really need to be more looked into (in what way I don't know).
On March 16th this year I found myself in Hairmyres Hospital having given my wife a suicide note and started to head to Lochwinnoch station to take my own life in front of a train.
Thankfully my wife called the police and my own colleagues had the horrible task of finding me and convincing me to go to hospital.
I am now getting help for issues from my past life of mental and physical abuse from a previous relationship.
My beautiful wife has been superb making me love her even more.
Thanks to my wife and Police Scotland I am still here.
It could have been oh so different.

Longtimecoming reacted to Ayrshire Saints in Tory Wins Ferguslie
The majority Tory group on South Ayrshire Council have been sensationally dumped out on their arses after failing to reach a deal with Labour which has allowed the SNP to form a coalition with Labour ousting the Tories. No point in winning seats on Councils if no one is going to paly ball with you when it comes to the coalition horse trading !

Longtimecoming reacted to Bud the Baker in Tory Wins Ferguslie
I'm going to reply in a bit of a roundabout way - there was a EU press conference today which was conducted in French and the spokesman prefaced it by saying "the influence of English was diminishing" not comedy gold but it raised a few titters. I know you're a bit of a Eurosceptic but do you believe Theresa May will be able to secure a good Brexit deal for Britain? Various UKIP bigwigs are assaying "Job done, Theresa's our leader carrying out our policies." Who can doubt that the Tories are currently the most extreme party with significant power in Western Europe and heading further in that direction? Macron will win the French Presidential election, the Dutch rejected the PVV last month - there's going to be no incentive for the EU to give anything more than they have to Theresa May's Conservative Party with UKIP and Nigel Farage grinning in the background.
I don't want Scotland to be a remote and ignored province of an isolationist UK - I'd rather be in an independent country which wants to be part of the European and World mainstream. Yesterday's result make the choice crystal clear and in the GE I'll be surprised & disappointed if the SNP don't win 50+ again.

Very few do as it's seen as a vote for republicism
If wee Sturgeon drops the Indy 2 patter she would clean up
Most level headed people know what the Tories are all about but there's no other options out there
Labour scored a major own goal siding with the tories and they won't recover up here
