  1. People saying it's "all over twitter". I see 2 people have mentioned it. Does that mean It's "all over twitter" these days?
  2. For away games, yes. Especially when they rip you off like that.
  3. Exactly. Its goes from one extreme to another, I'll certainly be there if we beat Hamilton but it couldn't be any more unappealing if it's a dead rubber.
  4. You'd need to be off your rocker to pay that price and travel to Dundee for half 12 if it's a bounce game.
  5. The tactics in the last 2 games have been so negative and only playing for a draw. This 4-5-1 formation with 3 non-attacking midfielders in the middle of the park leaves the lone striker far too isolated. As soon as we went 2 up front last week we started making chances and eventually scored. Exact same situation again today. Why did OK stick with 1 up front for so long? A straight like for like sub with Nazon for Mullen tells me OK didn't see what the problem was. Subbing Mullin like for like was going to achieve absolutely nothing. As soon as we went 2 up front we started to look a threat again. It's infuriating that it takes OK so long to see this. The players are giving it everything but the tactics were awful again today.
  6. I think the point being made by the club's that pulled out though is that the reserve league is not developing players and alot of the time the opposition is of a terrible standard and not taking the game seriously. Also there were issues highlighted with the standard of pitches. I don't know enough about it to have a huge opinion either way but it should definitely be looked in to. It might be better for the development if we just organise games on a weekly basis individually throughout a season. Then we can be sure of the standard of opposition and quality of playing surface.
  7. We were bottom of the championship with that squad Jack inherited and came probably the closest we've been in our 140 odd year history to being relegated to the 3rd tier. I would say that was an absolutely dreadful squad.
  8. I'd take a draw here tbh. It's a hard game and another point towards safety will be huge. The big game is obviously Hamilton home. As long as we go into that game within 2 points and in a position to leap frog them I will be happy.
  9. I'd be interested to see the actual figures on this though. My local team Largs Thistle has a plastic pitch and the make a bit of money off it but not a huge amount. That bit of money is relatively significant to a small junior team like Largs but in comparison to the revenue of a Scottish premiership team I'd imagine it would be absolutely tiny. If they were making anything worth talking about from the pitch I'm sure more teams like ourselves would be copying it. You've seen the extent our board will go to make a few more quid with the whole old firm fans allocation f**k up.
  10. Anyone know the number we had there yesterday. Did we have more fans than Livi?
  11. I still think Jack's achievement was greater. I'd given up all hope of staying in the championship, I thought we were guaranteed to go down whereas I've never felt it's a lost cause at any point this season. It would still obviously be a great achievement if Oran keeps us up given the start we had but I've never seen a great escape like Jack's one before and probably never will again.
  12. When comparing it to what we've got to play for its nothing.
  13. Livi have got nothing to play for and we've got everything to play for. It will be a scrappy game as always against them but I can see us winning this. 1-0 Saints
  14. Steve Clarke threw his hat in the ring today. He would be a great appointment and should have been given the job a year ago. The only concern is that Fulham are interested and he may have just been trying to push Fulhams hand into making him an offer. When asked if he wanted to manage again in England he said yes but doesn't know whether it will be "this season, next season or the next". That doesn't really leave much time for the Scotland job then. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it.
  15. He's not a politician running to be Prime Minister. There's no need for him to give these bullsh*t media trained answers. It's an honest interview and I wouldn't expect him to be happy considering how bad the season has been. It's understandable that he's a bit downbeat.
  16. For me the biggest "don't do" for the new manager is don't let all the snakes back who turned Scotland down under McLeish and Strachan. That was the biggest mistake McLeish made when he came in. He gave it the old cliche of saying "everybody gets a clean slate". But by saying that what you are really saying is "I don't care if you f**ked over the last manager just don't do it to me" He let guys like Ritchie and Snodgrass back in, just for them to do exactly the same to him as they done to Strachan. It also endorses that behaviour and encourages others to do the same. Which was the reason for the call off shambles.
  17. He definitely said it in the context it was reported in but I see he's taken the comment back today and pretended he never said it. So at least he knows he f**ked it. Seems similar to some of the comments Strachan has came away with in the last few years (genetics, racist thing). These guys are getting old and sometimes outrageous and nonsensical comments slip out which they need to take back immediately. He surely cant have meant it.
  18. I do agree with this about the DNC. Sanders was leading all the polls on the head to head with Trump and they f**ked him over to give it to Clinton. For that they deserve what they get. The problem with Assange isn't that he has told lies. Everything he has exposed has been the truth. But in this day and age every government and political organisation in the world has secrets and an element of corruptuon. Assange only exposes anything against the American establishment. He never looks towards Russia or China or anywhere else for that matter. If he was this anti corruption truth exposer that his supporters think he is he'd be exposing secrets from everyone left right and centre.
  19. Many people have this view and they are completely wrong about Assange. I agree Snowden and Manning are heroic and I 100% support them but Assange is not the same. Ask yourself why it's only ever American governemnt secrets he exposes when he supposedly runs an organisation exposing secrets everywhere. Why does he never expose Russian or Chinese secrets? They are two of the most corrupt regimes in the world. The reason is clearly that he is being paid by the Russians. He was part of the plot to discredit Clinton and get Trump into office. Again helping the Russians. I didn't see him say anything against Trump. The guy pretends to be a truth exposer but he only exposes truths of one side and has the biggest agenda imaginable. That's called corruption. The guys a fraud and deserves everything he gets. That facial hair was a pathetic publicity stunt as well. He's in an embassy in the middle of London. Not a cave. There's absolutely no reason for him not to shave and come out looking like a caveman.

Largs v Talbot Scottish cup final This is the best Largs team in a long long time and thoroughly deserved the place in the final. Disappointing that it's going to be held at Douglas Park. Probably one of the worst stadiums in the county. Would have loved to have seen it at St Mirren park.
  21. That's another argument all together and I do agree with you on that one. Last season was one of the best seasons I've had supporting st mirren. This season has been one of the worst. Says it all really. But while we are here we should be maximising the money we bring in.
  22. Supporters should be grown up and mature enough to understand the financials behind it without getting emotional and spitting the dummy. The extra money is vital for us if we intend to compete and remain in this league.
  23. His point was that we had 4 games in 11 days, including tonight against the best team in the league (by some distance). All other teams apart from St. Johnstone, have 1 game less in this time. They should be able to play 4 games in 11 days easy enough. The only issue would be if it was at the end of a long hard season. It's not been a long season for these players. They don't play international football. We've been gubbed out every cup in the early rounds and they've obviously had no European football. James Forrest has played 48 games this season. Ryan Flynn who presumably was rested tonight has played 19.
  24. They are professional footballers who haven't played much football this season. Some players play in every round of the cup competitions, their country, European football and league games. This lot have only had the league games this season and most of them haven't been part of it from the beginning. There is no chance they are tired.
