In the last few games Mallan has started in the no 10 role. But he has been too far away from Sutton to make any impact and also hasn't been able to get beyond Sutton with Andy Dorman type runs. In a central 2 in midfield unless he has some muscle beside him he is too easily pushed off the ball and unable to play the simple pass choosing too many world cup passes. Yes he may score the odd free kick but feel he needs to be playing for someone else for him to develop his career. If we had anyone else available a few sub appearances woudn't do him any harm.

I would rather play Jordan Stewart at left back and Gary Irvine in midfield as a defensive mid if Magennis/Mallan get injured. At least Irvine seems to be have a bit of nastiness in his game and to actually boot a few things as we are far too nice and too afraid to put the boot in and actually foul someone before they get near our goal.

Anyone had any experience of being able to get entry to the game late? Got the remembrance service in Johnstone tomorrow and won't be able to get to the ground possibly until 1.30pm. Got as season ticket so no issues about buying it that late just as to whether I will still be able to get in at the turnstyle. Previous years the kits go into the Xmas sale but last year the home kit didn't because it was released so late due to their problems. Think it is time we play hardball with JD and get the kits for sale at the ground. Was down in Morecambe last week and they had a shop slightly bigger in size than ours fully stocked with kits, training and loads of leisurewear. And smaller crowds than us. We as fans are being shortchanged big time in terms of service from JD and hopefully GLS will make improvements in the contract.

If it is a reoccurrence of his earlier injury I wouldn't be surprised if he was out for a number of months or even the rest of the season. Suppose he was still gaining match sharpness but expectation level was much higher
