Disrespectful and poor, poor reponse from somone who supposedly has the future of our Club at heart.
If you couldn't make it - for whatever reason - that would have been an appropriate response.
No-one knows you, so you could come along and I for one wouldn't mind anyone grilling 10k hrs about their new proposal and having their say.
Instead you just discredit yourself by your reply and ride off into the cyber sunset...

That's not actually true though is it. In fact REA dealt with the accusations about "deadlines" at the very first meeting when that psycho bint from Real Radio was doing her dinger. He explained that no deadline had been missed as there were no deadlines. If there had been deadlines and dealines had been missed then the CIC would have been dead as that is what a deadline actually means - meet it or die.
All along the anti-CIC brigade has tried to setup deadlines; however they have only ever existed in their own self-induced tortured neuroses. There are no deadlines, not one deadline. If the anti-CIC brigade had approached the CIC with an open mind rather than a big sulk they would have clearly heard the BoD state categorically that there were no deadlines and that the CIC proposers would be given time to achieve their goals as it is the best way forward for the club.
Truth and facts tend to get ignored by brats in a sulk.

Certainly not getting at you, or indeed any individual both pointless and wasteful exercises. But given what you have said that goes to cement the approach 10000 hours take as rank amateurism. They were all over the internet forums, everyone's pal, ask what you like, meetings a plenty then........ Nothing... not even the decency to contact the people who did their bit and pledged with at the least an update to say "we're still working at it"....
They gave deadline after deadline when they obviously weren't in the position they said they were, and thats the rub! Because now they are only talking apparently to a chosen few (again nothing aimed at you), again making promises, so why should the masses that supported them and were then ignored believe them this time???
It's bad form from a group that have shown complete disregard to the people that came out and answered their call. Consider this! how the hell will they cope running an SPL football club??? A bit like what goes on at GreySkull would be my guess

    The CIC/RA Report Card
Worth a look at the young anklecicer’s report card as the October school week approaches.
    CIC
Based on his research and presentations this should now be in place. Various critics/sceptics, Somner, Animal, Ted, seem to have been proved correct overall. while flagwavers, Poz, Div, Sid, TSU, certain journalists etc, despite their defence and belief seemed to have like so many fallen for the slick talk and promise of places on one of the many boards.

    Sustainability
Announcing in public that you will walk away if things don’t pan out leaving the club to be run by a collection of 3 committees is hardly the way to go about attracting public funding of around £1,000,000. Imagine the government department handing over the money and the main man walking out a few months down the line. Amateur.
    Marks out of 10… 1
    Salesmanship
See above. Stunts like pulling out a mobile phone saying that might be the final 1% calling right now while at a meeting called about nothing just to keep the punters happy have to be seen for what they are. Although to be fair turning the biggest section of funding into a mere 1% which is in turn believed by many has to be applauded.
Some local businessmen who were initial backers of the scheme are now amongst its/his most scathing critics.

    Commercial Director
After so long no sign or announcement of any innovation whatsoever, save some crazy suggestions that attracted ridicule in the press. Laundry - a washout. Church services - don’t go there. CIC members’ bar - an easy sell, some may say beads for the natives.
    Marks out of 10… 2
    Strip
Strip in appearance is excellent as is the change strip. Quality while not great is commercially acceptable. Talk of a third kit is ridiculous. Trying to link it to 135 anniversary is window dressing, especially as that anniversary is October 2012.
Availability is poor unless you go to the back rack at the back of JD Sports. SMFC brand presence on the ‘high street’ and throughout Paisley at its lowest since the early seventies.
    Marks out of 10… 3
    Sponsorship
Looks strange. Rumour amongst local businessmen is that very little if any cash benefit to club. The manufacturers putting an associated brand on the kit they manufacture and sell indicates that they would make no money if a decent cash figure changed hands.

    Stadium
The Yellow/Carbrini/JD St Mirren Park. Word on the street is that although paid for by Carbrini no real sterling passed hands. Even the Hall of fame boards are predominately JD. These will have to be replaced when the contract ends too. The St. Mirren brand is sadly relegated in favour of JD. Poorly executed overall.

    Shop
An unmitigated disaster. Story is that he has washed his hands of this. Shop is reduced to some leisure shirts, available in any colour as long as it’s grey, and first strips. Don’t ask about the change top. Almost nothing for children. Forget flags, hats, scarf selection. Cover stories of tight stock management are ridiculous. This is hardly Marks and Sparks. A disgrace. Must have cost the club thousands over the period.

    Events
A Paisley business that attends every function was disappointed that there will be no second dinner this year, usually November. One of the reasons being the uncertainty in the community. Another loss. The commercial manager must be going mad.
    Marks out of 10… N/A
    Communication
An unmitigated disaster 2. A catalogue of missed deadlines, meetings dressed to suggest progress, information given to the chairman who is quoted in the press and tv that a deal is only a few days away; again, and again. A complete blackout of information for the (loyal) supporters (of the cic) on websites and the cessation of answering questions months ago.

    Understanding his subject
A total lack of understanding. Referring to St Mirren FC as a ‘boutique’ football club must rank as the biggest mis-understanding of the pride and mentality of football fans and Buddies ever. We are a traditional but innovative club in our own right and have nearly always been in the top division of football.

In my opinion the supporters of this fine Club have been misled. Time will tell, but if the CIC scheme does not come to pass serious questions have to be asked. The Club's AGM cannot be long away (November I think), perhaps that will be the place to put an end to this.
Mr. Gilmour told us all on TV that the process would be completed in 7 to 10 days. That was 14 days ago. I seem to remember Mr. Atkinson told us it would all be done by August. How long do we have to wait ?
If there are a number of supporters willing to 'donate' £10 a month to the club then perhaps a better scheme can be produced which would give them a real share (or shares) in the Club without robbing the Taxpayer or running up massive debts. The sooner the CIC scheme is brought to a conclusion -one way or the other - the better.
I understand that Mr. Gilmour and the other directors may want to cash in their shares, but there are many business owners who are in a similar position. If they want to sell they should consider reducing the valuation of the shares. If they don't want to do that they have to stay in post, or perhaps resign from the Board and let us appoint some new directors from existing shareholders.
Life - and St. Mirren - will go on regardless.

have the fans been convinced though? 500 is a small percentage of the support and a tiny fraction of the wider 'community'. also, no one signs up for a 10 year commitment, people are free to cancel after one month if they so wish without repercussions.
Im still on the side of the cic simply because there is no credible alternative and the current board have reached the end of the line.
However im not impressed with the complete lack of info here, via email or on facebook everytime a deadline passes. we even had a 'members' meeting cancelled at last minute and was only informed after people on here started asking wtf was happening.
I dont know what happend behind the scenes but st.mirren is at the heart of this cic and the organisers should start getting proactive with the support instead of waiting for the complaints to start on here before issuing an email.

What happens when the corporate sponsors withdraw there money and stop backing this sham?
RA keep your hands of our club.
I find it hard to digest that companys I know of who support St Mirren week in week out and have put in upwards of 60k a piece have not even been asked to be corporate members.
The CIC must not go ahead.

It all looks like yet another fund the mistakes, cleverly (depending on who is reading it) badged as true fan involvement. Somner makes a comment about Motherwell being completed owned by the fans, but surely the 48% are all Saint Mirren fans...indeed, the CIC will offer them a place on the board should they wish.
Another statement by somner regarding one member one vote. Where, aside from in the case of a corporate slot being shared, has that actually been mentioned as NOT being the case with the CIC?
Somner has shown a bit of his true colours though, he's only interested in token representation and investment coming from somewhere, anywhere really, with no plan and no promise of sustainability.

I don't see how you can say the Motherwell plan is better than the 10000hours one at all. All Motherwell fans were told was that they are setting up as an Industrial and Provident Society, that membership will start at £300, that there would be a premium membership called the 1886 which was aimed at businesses giving them a "mouthwatering array of benefits" without outlining what they would be, and that initially the IPS would only obtain a 45% shareholding with John Boyle retaining majority control until he was happy the IPS was fully functioning and ready to take full control.
They've set no membership targets, talked of aiming to raise £1.5m of capital and they've promised that this will secure the future of the club for a very long time - without detailing how £1.5m will secure the club a higher level of income going forward and without detailing how many members they need to become fully functioning. They haven't even managed to gain approval of their plans from the FSA.
I welcome the fact that my local team are looking to move their running of their club back to a more traditional model within Scottish Football but I think it's far too early to make a judgement that says what they are doing is any better than what's happening at Clyde, Stenhousmuir, or Edinburgh Spartans never mind 10000hours.

I was at an 18th birthday party on Friday night. It was held in a cricket club just outside Blackburn and many of the guests were from Ferguslie Park - born and bred. The Blackburn crowd are all regulars on the Rovers supporters buses. Cracking wee night out, with no trouble - bar closed at midnight and the place was empty by ten past. The kids all headed out to the clubs having tolerated their sad auld aunties and uncles jumping around on the dance floor with lightsticks for most of the night.
I've seen the police requried for many a corporate night out. Xmas parties in wegiescumbagland are the worst. I refuse to attend them these days.

Well, in the current spirit of 'Dragon's Den' talk. after this post - I'm out. There's no CIC yet, there's no constitution, there's no elections and there's no boards. I'm in the same boat as Div, happy to help, and happy to continue to do so. Had my say, took part in the debates - just want to think about the next football match involving my team, and consider our top 6 hopes with defensive weaknesses and a lack of a cutting edge up front.
What I have no further desire for is to be involved in a forum thread in which a certain individual makes strong personal attacks on your motivation and character, says anything unfounded they want, then inevitably plays the 'it's not me saying these things, it's my anonymous internet alias' card.
Had enough, and for that reason - I'm out.

You have painted yourself into a corner. The takeover is happening and you are very much an isolated, solitary sad man. Mybe you could bring some of your energy into actually making the club work as well as it can now? Instead of the destructive criticism why not put your energies toward helping make our club the best small club in the country? I firmly believe we can be.

    Nice one, sounds brilliant.
On the subject of the stadium, as the graphic designer who has contact wit those in authority, can you ask why advertising on the rear wall of the main stand is sold in such an ad hoc manner? It should be sold in blocks of a specific size or multiples thereof. The current adverts are all different heights, no symmetry, no alignment and as a result, no class. It might sound petty but it's the small things that make a place look right.
