This must be a wind up, surely? Finishing one place above relegation every season is less ambitious than getting relegated? Really?

People have short memories and seem to fotget the players that Danny has brought to the club who have been great to watch and made great contributions to the team:

I think Danny has done well to keep us in the top flight for 4 years, given us our highest top flight finish for almost 30 years, given us our first national trophy in 26 years, turned youth players into first team players and has us playing a decent standard of football to watch. IMHO he is definitely worth a new contract and I would be more than happy for his level of success at our club to continue.

When Lex starts predicting points totals from forthcoming fixtures it never ends well. The run has been good while it lasted.

Cheesy was one of our best players last season, and has matured incredibly in the past 2-3 years. I don't know what he earns, and I don't give a f**k either. He gives 100%, week in week out, through thick and thin. He's a fan on the park, a guy I look at and envy as he plays for the club he supported as a boy.
Let the season begin in earnest before we start ripping into the players, questioning their ability, heart, professionalism and motivation.
As for left backs, Grainger would fit the bill, and I'm sure there are others who would too if he doesn't decide to come here. If we don't get one in we will have something of a quandary, but have experienced defenders who can surely fit in there? Far from ideal right enough...

Enjoy the game, everyone. Whatever the result today, Saints can be proud of the cup run (especially the semi-final) and hopefully everyone can enjoy a decent match and another non-Old Firm team lifting the cup. Also, if it doesn't go our way, history suggests we'll follow it up with a 4-0 gubbing of Celtic so we can't really go wrong tbh.
