  1. There's a long way to go. (is that a good thing?)
  2. A good start will be very important to keep the momentum. We need to hem them in and make sure they don't get a foothold in midfield. That's the Achilles' heel. Too many times we've let ourselves down there. Goodie is a must but I would still like to see a "digger" in there. I'm going along with the optimists and predicting a victory. albeit a tight 2-1.
  3. He was in the Scot's U21 squad.
  4. Just when some thought this thread had run it's course....
  5. Come on Div. It's "Saint Mirren 0- Other mob more".
  6. Likely that will still precede our first victory.
  7. I thought we were going to inflict absolute misery on Livi today, then we scored and, well, that was that. Our midfield was posted missing all too often. Goodwin apart, they were far too timid. Agnew pulled out of every fifty fifty ball. He was as good as a man down. I was astounded when Murray withdrew JG as he was a mainstay in the middle of the park. As someone else pointed out we had ONE shot on target in the second half and that was akin to a back pass.
  8. Welcome to the madhouse Andy. Get your earplugs on the way out of the tunnel as, if the folk who sit in front of me on Tuesday night are anything to go by, You're gonna need them!
  9. We scored four goals at Ibrox but still went out of the cup. Ooops. Wrong John.
  10. Did you write that joke about the Hans free as well?
  11. In truth, after Livi's equalizer, which was totally down to Langfield's misjudgement, I never thought we'd win this match. Even Mallan's wonder strike didn't raise my hopes any. When I heard the team read out with Goodie in there and two up front I really had a good feeling and, after we went ahead, the optimism was firmly in my heart. But... The way we gave Livi a helping hand to take the lead they bullied us and looked more like the home team. It s going to be a loooonnnnggg haaaardddd seasonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ FIFY
  13. Ur ye still there? What part is "wrang"? Did Baird not jump before Gaston? Did Gaston not move toward Baird? Was Baird looking in the direction of the oncoming Keeper? Was Gaston there before Baird? Are you a dick? The latter is rhetorical by the way.
  14. Definitely NOT what I see from this clip. It clearly shows that Baird jumps well before their keeper gets near him and is looking in the direction of the ball. There is no attempt to impede him and, if anything, Gaston jumps into Jack when attempting to reach the ball.
  15. We were absolutely devoid of ideas last night. Even before the sending off. Which I thought was worthy of at least a yellow and can forgive the ref for showing red as Conlan was never in control of his movement. He dived in. He did make a howler of a decision with the "goal" he unjustly chopped off though. That aside, this was another poor showing and it would be a mistake to use the loss of a player as an excuse. One plus could be that the manager now knows Goodies worth to the team and maybe, just maybe, he'll realise that Thommo is wasted as a lone striker.
  16. Why would he want to sign for a second division side?
  17. Should huv said, joost get tae bed. Yer his maw, efter aw.
  18. And that's ALL you picked up from this?
  19. Hope we get Ayr Utd in the next round.
  20. Yer erse. The ground is as lively as a morgue, even at the best of times. When things were going well at the old ground you could feel the ground shaking.
  21. At the very least write THE new Saint Mirren Park. The name of the stadium is SAINT MIRREN PARK.
  22. How much did it cost for you to get in that time bluto?
  23. I see where you're going Shull. Make sure we get double relegated and you'll get your wish of part time team and a fiver entry. Good one, son of Baldrick. .
  24. Yes. And be playing sh!te. Oh.....Wait a minute.
  25. If Goodie can't get even a playing sub in this team then he might as well cut his losses as it's clear he won't feature to any extent. We needed a leader on thee park and Murray should have had him on when it was clear we were playing Heedless chicken stuff.
