  1. What a load of crock. I hope you go into your place of employment tomorrow, assuming you have one, and admit to the boss that you are not worthy! A politician claims he is doing a good job and, in some cases at least, in some people's eyes, he is. If DL thought he wasn't doing things right for the long term then he wouldn't be doing them. It's for others to agree or disagree whether or not it's in the clubs interest.. He has tried to get players above our range within a budget and had to admit defeat in some cases but IFO am fed up of armchair managers citing the snakes without admitting the ladders!
  2. Ohh, Djemba, Djemba, Eric Djemba, Djemba's gonna get you man?
  3. I have a theory as to how we managed to land Djemba2. DD knows about Sir AF's background so when Danny phones him and starts talking incomprehensible Scots to the lad and mentions Saint Mirren he thinks it's Fergie on the phone reminiscing and giving him a second chance at Man U. Boy is the guy in for a shock!
  4. A bit contradictory given the last sentence though. "It's a very important time for us with just eight games to go before the split and we want to keep our focus on that. We'll look after our other business after that."
  5. So your argument seems to centre around the assumption that, if you can't play with the big boys and do really well, then go and find some wee kids to bully? And even then we'd lose our big brothers to fight our battles? Logic not one of your strong points nickyboy?
  6. Though you have kept yours Simon, I think nickysmfc has thrown his in. Disgraceful attitude. The premier league is not great but it IS the only place to aspire to be.
  7. McGinn is playing in a much deeper central role than he did with us. Can see the family resemblance inasmuch as his movement is concerned. Having a reasonable game.
  8. The big difference there Faraway is that Fergie took charge of a second rate, middle of the table Man U team and dismantled a failing system while investing in youth. Moyes took charge of a club who had ROMPED the league the previous season and paid a fortune for a dud most knew wasn't Man U class.
  9. That's ok HERSS. Everybody makes mistakes,..... except me of coarse!
  10. Can't see that as much of a problem. I mean. TWO GAMES?
  11. You really must have enjoyed that game HSS!
  12. If they don't, I can see Moyes getting an early retirement present.
  13. There's a pattern there then. Re ICT.
  14. IMO, in the case of CH I don't think the adage, "better than we have" counts as, as far as real backup is concerned, it would be "better than nothing".
  15. I wasn't at the game yesterday as I don't see the logic in feeding a prehistoric animal while praying for it's extinction but, if the Beebs stats and highlights are to be believed, we did far better than I would have expected. We at least had a shot or two on target even if Magennis' shot was particularilly weak. I was delighted to see we didn't start with 5 goalies and 6 defenders though it would have been difficult to find either within our pool. I only hope we can reproduce our first 45 v Hibs on a more regular basis when playing "the rest". That's as much as can be expected.
  16. No argument there. The point was that Mair wasn't the tower of strength that prevented us from having chances.
  17. While I share your concern about the numbers going against those coming in, I think the comment re Mair improving Thistle is premature at best. I saw nothing in the game we played v Partick to endorse this. I have a feeling it will prove a damp squib of a signing for the Jags
  18. Really? Were you at the game? If so. Did your guide dog get you home O.K.? I've seldom seen so many Saints players having so many chances to win a football match. Our own ineptness in front of goal led to that result. Mair could have been a cardboard cut out and would have had as much of an impact! It could only be an "odd supporter" who would be happy with our January transfer dealings. An odd supporter indeed! (Copyright of TT)
  19. What more can I say? Oh, I know.. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
  20. Well Daniel: Thy Boss is watching as ye fail, And support for ye expired Now is the time for a sting in thy tail, And show why ye shouldn't be fired
  21. Letting Grainger leave is, in my opinion, lunacy. Someone will HAVE to cover for our very young left back at some point before the end of the season and I believe there was a lot more to come from Danny. I don't know what is going on at the club but something just doesn't add up. And I don't mean the counting of the playing pool!
  22. At least wait until we've finished the Hearts game before you post yer nonsense Shull!
