However from what I am hearing we seem to have the same issue as we did last year when favourites for a game (Dundee cup game and Killie at home as good examples) we just do not know how to handle a team when we are favourites and playing against teams that we should beat. I can't help but think the major signings getting made in Saudi are going to have a knock on effect to the English premier League and TV money. I wonder if they will start to plow money into the Saudi brand at the expense of previous investments.

My issue on all of this is more deep rooted and that journalism feels to have lost all credibility. I think Fletcher makes sense. With Ayunga out till Feb he offers that experience for Grieve, Olusanya, Offord and Jamieson. Also food foil for McMeniman cutting in from the right.

At the end of the day despite being owned by superstars they are still only in league 2. Financial fair play will apply and the lower divisions are a slog with 46 games of football before you take cups and potential play offs. A player like Main makes sense on a free.

A low risk signing that could flourish. Robo must see something and with numbers up front light any little helps. I won't be expecting too much to soon though as it is always tough to settle. With Ayunga out till Feb , Main gone and Brophy gone (who will probably spend the season injured every three weeks any for county) we are still well short up front.

VAR is as good as the quality of the officials using it and the quality of the ref on the pitch. Standards in Scotland were rock bottom last season. The SFA will never acknowledge that as it's a closed network. I think it's time that an independent governing body was set up by referees looking at standards in all top countries for consistency with audit results published. Money would be better spent here than on VAR.
