  1. Re bit in bold...........so people with designated seats that they like the view from, just now (season tickets), should have to give them up so that "People with designated seats at a part of the stand they like the view from shouldn't have to move to a corner for a sing song and standy uppy experience" can have their designated area designated for them.
  2. I get it, let's try a small section to get a feel for how it will go and when that doesn't work lets try it on a bigger scale and for a longer period just to make sure. (Sarcasm works two ways) I would love to see, hear and feel a better atmosphere at our new home but honestly don't feel free for all is the answer.
  3. Yet it fell on it's arse when an area was allocated for the "chanters" to congregate in and chant away.
  4. You'll find the advantage when you work out how many times the bit in Bold has been true in the last thirty years!!
  5. Are you accusing Thommo and Goody of similar, both regular guests on TV and radio?? Langfield has made mistakes for certain but not sure it's down to a lack of commitment to St Mirren
  6. They probably paid out less than they would have if they'd carried on until the end of their contracts though
  7. Maybe by appealing both they felt that there would be more pressure to rescind at least one of the reds.
  8. I would guess that's whether you've got a boner for giving the board and the manager a hard time for absolutely everything they do or not....personally I'm hoping they get it right and can see some sense in this current appointment.
  9. One thing for certain is that every player will know his role in the side and the job he is expected to do each and every game. Millers attention to detail is absolute and his teams would often spend a couple of hours after training going over the opposition player by player, strength by strength and weakness by weakness......day after day after day until it sank in
  10. that wasn't nice Irvine Buddie, you just knew everyone would start counting managers appointed in their time as a Saints Supporter........19 in my case a certain Mr Fitzpatrick is in there twice!!
  11. From Baird's positioning before the "screenshot" and in realtime Reid is effectively left with two players to deal with as Baird is being drawn away from the man he should be marking, he has to gamble between a ball across the deck towards the number 8 or a cross to the back post. He may well have made the wrong choice but there were other factors that left him having to make the choice.
  12. TC, not for a second suggesting that Reid wasn't at any fault for the first goal but what do you mean by "Baird was there"? Baird was wrong side of his man and neither closing down the cross or in a position to compete for the header with the guy he should have been goal side of.
  13. Which is a totally different point from your previous one and I don't think either of them are connected.
  14. What about the many unpaid hours they put in on the clubs behalf........I'm pretty sure that when you balance out their time against their spend then the average hourly rate will be fairly poor for being a director of St Mirren
  15. The ferry taking longer on a day when you have other, and on the face of it better, options I can understand but don't give us all this nonsense about wife and dog walking before heading back to sea........you'll be in the pub watching the rugby, a pint in hand and a smile on your face!!
  16. I agree with that IoBS.........can I ask, out of interest however, is it as a customer or as a supporter that you're not attending the game this Saturday?
  17. Opinions are what they are but Iniesta regarded Scholes as the best he had played against at one point

    Paisley Pubs

There used to be that number between Shuttle Street and "The Wine Bar" alone. I agree about preferring pubs smoke-free but there is no disputing that Paisley Town Centre isn't the nightlife mecca it used to be although a good night can still be had.
  19. Irrespective of whether Goodwin's yellow was deserved or not he had given the referee three other decisions to make, the next one he was off........where was the guarantee that he'd have got to half-time. If he hadn't you'd be the very fella to being screaming that he should have made the substitution because of the likelihood of a sending off.
  20. I'm guessing that Murray hoped that Goodwin would get a gig elsewhere to free up the cash to bring in such a player...........Goodwin should be the kind of player you are talking about but unfortunately too often the wrong side of the referee to be effective (whether his fault or not is another discussion).
  21. For the type of football we played last night Thommo did ok, unfortunately (again) he is winning balls in the air, making knock downs and flick-ons but there is no-one around about him to feed off any good work he does. There is way too big a gap between midfield and our main (in some cases "only") striker. We are really struggling for leaders on the park right now and when Goodwin went off the midfield was silent.............I may be in a minority but I felt Goody really let us down last night, I thought his early yellow was deserved (and stupid) and although Livi were obviously at it with their constant badgering of the ref Goodwin kept getting himself into situations where the ref had decisions to make. It could be argued that, for the last foul at least, the ref did us a favour by not sending him off and allowing us to make a sub before being down to 10. We need Goodwin for his drive and commitment but we don't need the nonsense that comes with it, he's old enough to have sussed that out by now. Once Jim had left the scene we were left with Langfield (our furthest back player) and Thompson (our furthest forward player) as the only vocal players on the park with 60 yards of silence, and no organisation, in between. Agnew may be a talker but as it was a defensive change required then he was never the answer to Goodwin going off. Webster, or someone of that ilk, is a must from a leadership and organisational perspective or we will really struggle to be strategically sound in any games we play but from a positive side if Goodwin can screw the nut we could have Langfield, Webster, Goodwin and Thompson right through the middle of our team communicating and organising and at least giving us some structure to our play.
