  1. Yeah good to have a few options! Cheers for the recommendation. Seat Ibiza so German, cheers! Think no matter where I go this is going to cost me. Got the car in August, its a 54 plate, cost me £600 but had 12 months MOT on it. Looked at the service book and thought it had last been serviced in 2013 but when I read it again thats when the next one was due. It was last serviced late 2012 and was still only 10k miles ago but obviously stuff like rust and corrosion sets in. Could be a costly one. Effin road tax is up at the end of the month too.
  2. McAusland is the only genuine centre back we have at the club. Didn't make it yesterday so can't comment but he was brilliant up in Dingwall. I'm sure GT would love to bring in 3/4 players with the squad he inherited. I haven't seen Baird play but iv heard good things about him. Does he deserve a chance? Going by results I don't think GT should get the gig but he has turned out fortunes around. We now have a bit of hope. Promoting Mallan and McLear was brave but looks to have paid off. Mallan looks a real gem. The players seem to be playing for him, which is a plus. Do we disrupt it again by bringing in another manager and wage on top of that? If it came down to GT retiring as a player to bring in another player to help bolster the team , it's a hypothetical question. Is he going to play football again? Doesn't look likely. Goodwin was demoted so you'd think his wages would be too. I don't know how it works , was asking people's opinion on it . It's a sorry mess and that's not even bringing the takeover stuff into account.
  3. Forgot to say there's no way the club can afford that extra 100k ( guesstimation) .
  4. Problem is 4 players at £1000 a week would cost 200k for 12 months, even 100k till the end of the season. Even 4 players at £1000 a week would only get you run of the mill players. 2 at 2k a week would be more of a risk but should be a better standard of player. I think we'll be relying on Thommo to come good and dig us out another hole.
  5. I think GT has done well to weed out the players who aren't up to it. I'm guessing he took Kelly off because he has worked his backside off the last few games and was burnt out. Not much he can do to rotate the squad whilst keeping us competitive sadly. I wonder if he was to be appointed as manager would he sacrifice his player wage?
  6. I remember when the ultimate wankbaggerest Tam McManus punched the love st turf and broke his wrist . Would be funny if more footballers actually hurt themselves doing this cowardly act.
  7. Listening to Talksport and they are talking about the match between the 1987 FA cup winners Coventry v 1987 Scottish Cup winners St Mirren. They are wondering why the 2nd leg has never been played? Think they said the first leg finished 1-1 and the 2nd leg has never been played. Anyone with any info should phone the station up .
  8. Hopefully Cheesy and Goodwin keep their good form up. The whole team will need to chip in with their defensive duties tomorrow, going to be a tense one. Especially if we could be playing 4 ex Saints. Has McGinn signed for Dundee?
  9. Thanks for the replies, looks like there is a decent amount to choose from after all. Tempted to go to the VW garage seeing as its a Seat Ibiza I have and its al VW parts used on them.
  10. Hi all. I'm looking for a garage to take my car to. Preferably in Paisley. It's needing a service, does anybody have a good garage they can recommend? It's hard to find a garage I can trust these days.
  11. By the time It takes him to get match fit we'll be into March. That's with him starting every week. Hate to say it but he could be better used as a sub with 20 to go coming on and try to get us a goal.
  12. Aye I'm pretty sure Cheesy was in tears at the end. Incredible scenes. Gary Teale wouldn't let the players off the pitch till every single one of them came over to the fans. They ran themselves into the ground and were nearly on their knees but they obliged. The away section was bouncing the whole game, we really need to make more noise at the home games. The players feed off it, especially the young ones. Oh and the desire shown by Mallan at his goal is incredible. He saw the opportunity and seized his chance. A Beckham like ball in by Kelly and a fantastic header the Mallandonna. Days like today more than make up for the several pumpings we take up in the Highlands.
  13. On a level playing field I'd agree but if they survive till then there is no way they won't be allowed to make the final and get promoted. Celtic are missing them way too much.
  14. The 2 head to heads we have had with Motherwell will prove costly imo. Hope I'm wrong but my prediction after a few games was Saints v Rangers in the play offs. A win tomorrow and a win against one of the Dundee teams and our season looks a lot different. In the past we have put 2-3 game runs together from nowhere, a positive result tomorrow could kick start it. Sadly we've been saying that all season.
  15. In fact McKnight v Falkirk in the game Paeslack played with a broken leg, probably up there with Isma's goal in terms of importance
  16. He didn't even get a goal for us . Only thing he scored was Yardley's lunch and a few nice watches .
  17. From that moment on our name was on the cup. Even in the final Hearts could have been 3/4 up after 30 mins. Ok fair do's at 3-1 the previous Hampden experience was still playing on my mind but even the night before I just knew we were going to win. I was even planning how I was going to celebrate. Our whole bus had the same feeling, even Thompson said the players had the same feeling on their bus. It was just destiny, made even better by Scott Brown making a rip roaring c'nt of himself and blocking me on twitter later for giving him drunken pelters.
  18. Aye we created some noise that day. I think the biggest roar was for Samson's penalty save. Every Saints fan there knew we were going to win after the first 5 minutes.
  19. They are signing Anier, would probably rule out the Isma rumour then. It would break my heart to see him play for another Scottish team
  20. I fancy us to win on Saturday, not quite sure why but have the same feeling I did before the Dundee game. They are not any better than us, even if our form up there is patchy , we outplayed a Dundee on their own turf. GT needs to get the tactics spot on. Hopefully the ex player scoring against old club rule works for us this weekend for a change. Expecting a cagey game but heart is saying 2-0 to the Paisley Brazilians.
  21. The last time we signed a player in January from our relegation rivals he went on to lift the league cup as our captain.....
  22. Welcome big chap. If I remember correctly he is a bit of a handful. Should give us the presence up front which we have been lacking and hopefully can stick in a few goals.
  23. I keep expecting Motherwell to get a winning run going and leaving us and County to fight to the death ( or flop over the finish line ) but they seem to be just as bad. The new manager bounce hasn't came for them either after his first couple of wins. they seem to be going backwards. Still maintain Sutton can score enough to keep them out of the bottom 2. We are only roughly half way through and there is loads of football still to be played but we are not a consistent enough team to get a 4-5 game winning streak going. Have not been for years. I think the fans could do a bit more to get behind the players but we are ( rightly ) perplexed with what has been going on, on and off the field. Would be a shame if we, as fans, were just to roll over and accept relegation. We certainly didn't do that in 00/01.
  24. I think the board were hoping we'd be sold by now. Also hoping GT would have won a couple more games so it would have made the managerial appointment an easy one. It's either a case of sell up take the risk and let someone else run the club or appoint the new manager and steer us out of this shit storm we are in.
