  1. Seriously, I think that should be Baird's last chance with us. He's been given numerous chances after costing us points been back in the team after having been dropped previously, and then a total lack of discipline quite possibly going to cost us 3 points having been in a winning position prior to his stupidity. No more chances.
  2. Mentioning Tesselaar made me also think of Jure Travner - still only 31, and was a very solid defender for us.
  3. Ongoing major disaster as a plane that has a Brazilian top flight team on board has crashed, exact number of dead not known yet, but being reported as 6 survivors. Tragic! Brazil football team Chapecoense in Colombia plane crash - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-38140981
  4. Not so much bring back, but at the time a few years ago I'd have given young Conor Ramsay a proper run in the first team, not just the odd 10 minutes here and there, and tried to develop him in the same way as McLean, McGinn etc. as in the younger categories he was a class above the rest, and had attacking abilities that other young defenders couldn't handle. Was never given the chance to develop with us and has, as with so many, now decended into obscurity. Such a shame.
  5. Took my wee boy to see Santa at Renfrew town hall and got a good laugh at the puppet show. Then dropped him off at his grandparents for a sleepover before heading out to Glasgow to go round the Christmas markets followed by dinner for a friend's birthday. Swiftly followed by drinks until closing time at the Counting House and then a chippy at Da Vinci's before hometime. Unsurprisingly I'm not feeling that great for it today. Probably made all the worse by the fact that I generally don't drink alcohol. Maybe three or four times a year at most. Worth it though...
  6. I am genuinely perplexed at why anybody would view this as a bad thing. LinkedIn is not like Facebook or Twitter, it is a professional and recruitment focussed network. On James Fowler's direct network there will be contacts who are agents, players, coaches and others with direct links to clubs and the game in general. This is nothing like sticking an advert on Gumtree or similar. Professional recruiters and organisations use LinkedIn as part of their strategy. I've been approached twice through the platform, about two years ago by the Law Society of Scotland, and bizarrely 3 days ago by a University in Australia inviting me to apply for a position with them that they've matched my skills to. As others have pointed out, multinational companies use LinkedIn for these purposes. There is nothing to criticise.
  7. In perspective, we have indeed had the most horrific start to a season that we have ever, and likely will ever have had. That said, we can still hope for a couple of new faces in January that might make a difference. End of the day, a win or two HAVE to come from somewhere. 23 matches to go, and whilst I know there's no evidence we can do it, I reckon a record of 7 wins, 6 draws, 10 losses, giving us a total (with our existing 4 points) of 31 points would be enough for 9th place, and it is achievable.
  8. I was lucky enough to be there for that one too.
  9. Absolute shambles. No pass marks for a single one of them. Lacking in basic skills such as passing and taking up appropriate positions. Poor crossing and final ball in general. Although the midfield has flashes of skill, it's too inconsistent with every one of them frequently just running with the ball straight into one of their players. Cannot see any way out of this unless something radical is done.
  10. Was born in Paisley and briefly lived in Foxbar before my parents moved to Bridge of Weir where I stayed until I was 19, when I moved out of my parents house and came back to Paisley. Lived in Paisley for about 15 years before moving to Renfrew a couple of years ago.
  11. I won the only darts tournament I ever entered in 2010. Retired undefeated immediately. Champion!
  12. Great film. Hunt vs Lauda was a classic rivalry.
  13. I know I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but in case it was missed I just wanted to say again that I'd happily help out with the drafting of a legally focussed letter or meeting etc. if it might help. However if you're already engaged in dialogue and think you're making progress then great!
  14. I'd be happy to help in principle with this, as it does sound like a small incident has been completely blown out of proportion. I would need to probably speak in person to Josh (I don't think we've met before) to get some more detail and look at the options to resolve with the club. Easiest thing to do is come to an amicable solution and avoid escalating things where possible, but the club should realise that they have the potential to cause real ill feeling with some of the hardcore loyal fan-base with issues such as these. It just strikes me as a little bit unprofessional if nothing else.
  15. I'd love to see the club try to justify why they're still charging circa £20 a ticket for the shambles we're being served week in week out.
  16. A draw isn't good enough. We need to win this. Not looking good, and after dominating possession for so long too!
  17. Haven't been brilliant, but organised and dominated possession. Should win this game if the pattern continues the way of the first half. That said, we'll probably concede on the one break away Dumbarton get...
  18. When the referendum was created, they really should have put more thought into the issue. There are so many arguments and counter-arguments about the result. On one hand, the brexit side 'won' the vote. But on the other, by creating it as such a binary issue, a brexit result also disenfranchises a large number of the population. In addition, there is still the argument that although a majority in terms of the vote wanted to leave, in real terms it's less than 40% of the actual voting population. Then there's the problem that Scotland and Northern Ireland voted remain, whereas England voted to leave. Ironically, to have made the issue final and avoid any disputes like this, the Government SHOULD have set it out like the vast majority of EU votes are, because it's a fairer all round system. In their qualified majority voting system, an issue can only be passed if: 55% of member states vote in favour - representing at least 65% of the total EU population For the UK they could have set the qualified majority as being that Brexit could only happen if, for example, 3 out of 4 of the countries that comprise the UK voted for it, with the number of votes representing at least 50% of the population. It's not rocket science, and would have nipped in the bud all of the arguments that are currently being made.
  19. This is going to be very interesting. Do the main political parties declare this a constituency issue or a party political one to which they will apply the whip? Huge can of worms opened here and a large number of MPs are now in a 'no win' situation.
  20. I sort of know what you mean, but in reality this has very little to do with local issues. Chivas' markets are not local ones, nor anything that local government can really have any effect on. It is terrible for Paisley that such a large employer is leaving, but I really struggle to see why the blame should be placed on the council.
  21. My sister in law went on a date with him about 4 years ago! She's not been hearing the end of it for the past couple of weeks!
  22. I liked all of our players called Esmaël...
  23. Pen Pineapple Apple Pen... 129 million views on YouTube. Just let that sink in...
