linwood buddie
Didn’t watch the game not too keen on friendlies but seen a couple of chances on YouTube , Shankland’s one that hit the bar was very unlucky a wee bit less on it and it would have went in . faraway saint
The stats confirm that there was nothing in the general play, wasted chances and a clinical Dutch side saw us take another beating. That's 4 defeats from the last 6, with 2 draws. The 4 defeats have all been against teams in the top 10 of the world rankings. Need a win on Tuesday against N Ireland to get us back on course and build up the confidence. After Tuesdays game there are only another 2 games before Germany, away to Gibraltar and at home to Finland. 3 wins from these games will put give the support more belief before Friday 14th June. faraway saint
Koeman saw the game as most, they got out of jail so no need for any gloom or doom for the Scottish support. Koeman joked: "Maybe in the end, but not before the end. Yes they were maybe a little bit tight in the last 10-15 minutes and we got more space, and we know we can create good chances and score. During one hour the Scottish team was the better team and created more chance to score. It was unbelievable they didn't score because they had some really good chances." beyond our ken
At least we got proof that neither Souttar nor Porteous should get near a Scotland jersey

faraway saint
Shankland, unluckily IMO, dropped. Not an easy task against the Dutch, much better to have played tonight.

Anyhow, plenty of possession but next to nothing to show for it. All a bit too slow/predictable and NIreland are quite happy sitting deep. 0-0, 30 mins. faraway saint
Patterson, a catalogue of disastrous touches, gifts them a chance and a deflected goal. 0-1.

shull
Get Shankland on and get the ball quickly up the park. Possession means feck all while constantly passing to and across the defenders. Shankland is a class act and poacher. He should be first pick . No more tippy tappy shite football. It's like Rugby. Played backwards to go forwards. Pish COME ON SCOTLAND
faraway saint
NIreland miss a sitter, what a disappointing first half after the excellent play against Holland. Hunners of possession, no threat at all up front. Too pedestrian and predictable. 0-1 44 mins.
faraway saint
Gilmour this time, gifts the ball away in midfield and NIreland almost score again. Time for some arse kicking at half time.
faraway saint
First time in a long time I've heard the crowd be so pissed off, boo's echoing around Hampden. Need to really pick up the pace in the 2nd half.
shull
With very little possession, Northern Ireland are 1 up at Half Time. Possession is shite when playing 5 or 6 passes across the back 3 when one pass forward will suffice. Zzzzzz
shull
Too much tedious talk by the pundits. Get Shankland on and get the ball to him constantly. So simple
guinness
Very little imagination from Scotland. Too many slow square passes. The boy Patterson is good going forward but very poor defensively. Northern Ireland playing this as a proper match while Scotland seem to be in exhibition mode. If they want to avoid a few injuries they will need to start tackling properly and play with more aggression. Need to move the ball much quicker. shull
Be more positive with the SUB on and we can win comfortably.

Slack, maybe lack of time on the park at Everton but he's certainly, overall, been poor in the first 45. People shouting for Shankland need to look at the overall play, Kane couldn't score for us at the moment.
