Phil May singer with 60s R&B band The Pretty Things and older brother of Brian has sadly passed away aged 75 due to complications from emergency hip surgery after falling from his bike.

Probably better known for having the longest hair in music back in the mid-60s rather than any of their songs they became a cult band and were still performing into the new millennium. :headbang

That's Phil on the left with the straight hair...

Some dodgy use of a rake🤔

You mean Brian May's been raked?

On a more serious note the Pretty Things albums  S F Sorrow and Parachute are classics, albeit a bit of a cult thing.  Parachute is a particular favourite of mine from the early 70's and has been played more than a few times during lockdown.  I'm also listening to a lot of psychedelic rock too.  Who says lockdown can alter the mind.

Turned up bogging and pissed

Spent most of the gig drinking bottles of Four Crown

No doubt correct, they had a reputation for being unprofessional, turning up drunk/stoned and getting into fights. :headbang:guinness:fishwallop

I'm sure Andy will be all over this post with whatever alias he's trolling with this month.

Bit late with these two but RIP to

Bob Kulick (70) who missed out on the original lead guitar gig with Kiss to Ace Frehley and whose younger brother Bruce had the gig in the 80s/90s died last weekend. More famed for his production work he played on several Kiss & WASP elpees. :headbang

Steve Priest (72) bass player in Sweet died yesterday, according to one female journo he "looked like a navvy who'd stolen your make-up" - Sweet were always the heaviest (sic) of the GlamBands and have been acknowledged as influential by members of such bands as Guns'n'Roses, Megadeath & Motley Crue. :headbang

Party on Dudes!
