I really hope your uncle is OK, just shows you really cant get in an argument with anyone these days in case they are tooled-up and/or drunk/high. As for the last bit, i always felt there was an undertow of violence and serious crime.  There was a kid raped going to St Aelred's from Foxbar when I was  a first year there in 1970.  I also know a guy who got set up with loads of booze and he suffered the same fate a few years later.
