  2. Dont think we are a dirty team so when looking for how we are doing suspension etc wise I was surprised to see us so far down the fair play league more straight reds than anyone else but fewer yellows than most. # Club Fouls Yell yellow/red red + Points 362 14 13 27 469 1 Greenock Morton FC 0 33 0 0 0 33 2 Queen of the South FC 0 29 1 1 2 37 3 Falkirk FC 0 25 0 3 3 40 4 Brechin City FC 0 31 0 2 2 41 5 Dumbarton FC 0 33 3 0 3 42 6 Dundee United FC 0 35 2 1 3 46 7 Dunfermline Athletic FC 0 45 2 0 2 51 8 St. Mirren FC 0 28 1 4 5 51 9 Livingston FC 0 52 0 1 1 57 10 Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC 0 51 5 1 6 71
  3. Smart guy and getting what he deserves with his career
  4. is the game being covered on radio or anything today seeing as one of their sponsors is a radio station
  5. Thats just a fans site thats announcing this though isnt it?
  6. Hearts or is this not name a scottish footie team?
  7. While I agree with most of your post and think Harry is a very good player you are having a laugh with your last sentence. Harry only played 8 games before injury, important games I grant you as every game was last season but I would say that McGinn was closer to a largely than HD. In fact I would say that we survived last season largely due to JR joining us and making a raft of changes and astute signings not due to any one player in a good team. SS
  8. I think our defence and attack are the two best bits currently, in the first half against Ton our midfield were all over them with the attack and defence doing their bit. In the second the midfield were knackered and dropped away leaving our defence to soak up the pressure which they almost did and our attack to feed off scraps. What we needed was a fresh pair or two of legs in the middle to give it its grunt back. All IMO of course SS
  9. Dont understand what your gripe is with Sammy, did a ginger kid steal your sweeties or something? Against Utd he saved a penalty and a clean sheet, Against Ton he had no chance to save their goal but made several other good stops. We cannot afford a world class goalie nor do we need one as we are in the Scottish championship, hopefully Prem next season and Sammy is good enough for either of those. He has played 2-3 games more than some of the keepers around him and kept as many clean sheets (6 for absence of doubt). This table is based on the percentage but I would argue he should be at least in 3rd place in the division for cleansheets. 1 Mark Ridgers Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC 17 8 47,1 % 2 Alan Martin Queen of the South FC 18 7 38,9 % 3 Neil Alexander Livingston FC 17 6 35,3 % 4 Harry Lewis Dundee United FC 18 6 33,3 % 5 Craig Samson St. Mirren FC 20 6 30,0 % SS
  10. Thanks for the info Div, I will email them as I do have the annual subscription as its worth the extra few quid when some years I get to 3 or 4 games others I only get to the 1. SS
  11. He was unlucky there, would have been nice for him to get off the mark against the unwashed
  12. Ah did not know that, think BBC iplayer can also detect if you try and use a VPN SS
  13. just go to bbc iplayer, login and you can go to Alba from there SS
  14. St.Mirren TV even with the dodgy camera work and "wonderful" commentary is a good service for far flung buds. I do not agree with buddievision in its current format is the same value for money added on top of St.mirren TV though as I already pay a yearly subscription to watch the matches so why would I want to/should have to pay to watch a couple of interviews on top. The comparison with BBC is perhaps not a fair one but how about with BTsport with its 4 or 5 sports channels? £63 for Saints TV euro's plus the £50 for buddievision = £113 / year If you have the following: Plusnet/plusnet TV its £60 a year BT internet/TV Free Sky TV/BT internet £120 a year OK so they also use BTsport as a sweetener for taking their internet/tv package but most of us have an internet/TV package. Overall as I say I think Saints TV us good but when you have to add buddievision it really becomes expensive for what it is. If you compare like for like then look at Hibs TV, buddievision compares favourably at £50 compared to £59 so as a standalone service it works. SS
  15. Is the ticket office open? Been trying last couple of days and no joy
  16. Is there a trick to using the website to buy tickets? Have tried with google and IE get to the buy tickets, select the game and then when it should show the seats I get nothing? Any ideas? Never had a problem in the past SS
  17. wonder if they have any decent kids worth picking up at saints
  18. as the above say there are plenty out there and they are easy to use, there are ways of detecting them but Saints tv have not implemented due to cost I would expect as only the likes of BBC, Netflix etc ever have a problem with a VPN running.
  19. Every player cannot be an automatic first pick so any team will have a squad, the point which we are I hope reaching is instead of having a team of first and second picks is having a squad of first pics so whoever is playing well gets the shirt and is not complacent. The only player who currently should be a first pick is Morgan as no way can we afford another of his standard without developing them ourselves.
  20. I think for Hibs and Falkirk who finished 1/2 last year Hibs 9 wins, 4 draws 1 loss - 31 points Falkirk 6 wins 4 draws 4 loss - 22 points This year Saints 9 wins 2 draws 3 loss - 29 points SS
  21. How is it discrimination EK? it does not favour younger over older as more than 50% of the team is still >21 and do not have to have been trained at the club. All it means that clubs need to invest in young players the same way many companies outside of football are encouraged to take on apprentices does that also discriminate against older workers as if they did not have so many apprentices more older workers might be employed? What it would do is much like other youth schemes would make clubs hopefully spend more effort and expertise in bringing through younger players with better skills
  22. what I don't get is the tv sport subscription of £324 which is sky sports, how is that a cost of supporting Saints? its the same cost you will find against EPL teams where I can perhaps understand it. Looks like a bullshit poll that BBC just had to spend license money on for no apparent reason. Also should be titled cost to follow your team at home only, unless they put in sky to cover the away part which even more does not apply to us. Could be worse I suppose as they still add on sky to scottish 2nd division club costs, its a joke SS
  23. I cannot praise Baird and Buchanan enough and think that along with Eckersley, Irvine, Stelios and Smith have done a great job so far but I still want to see what Davis and GM can do and expect them to play better than Baird and Buchanan who are still learning and improving with every match played as they are youngsters not seasoned pros.
