  1. Maybe Jack's Contract included a decent bonus payment if Hibs won something..................
  2. Thanks for this, much appreciated.
  3. It was getting inspected for the damage the other day, with repairs to be carried out soon. Thanks for the update Cookie Monster. I wasn't aware it had been damaged No football.............I feel deflated !!
  4. Anybody know what has happened to this ? The dome is currently down and no sign of any activity when I went there this morning
  5. Anyone know when the club are getting the non-digital version of their allocation?
  6. Is the undersoil heating on? Does it still work? Otherwise the games a bogey methinks
  7. Got to agree with Andy Millen. I also liked Stephen McPhee for the short time he was with us. I thought there was a player in there, but he never quite hit the big time
  8. Is it maybe a grass v plastic matter?
  9. As a youngster (in the late 60's) I used to go there on holiday Monday's with my father who would be taking mostly cattle for auction I don't recall it quite like the photo (not sure I actually recall what it was like), but maybe the picture pre-dates the 60's and it may have been modified between times? The building on Storie Street (camera side, right) must presumably be the public baths? I used to have the odd chuckle when the lorries (loaded with cattle) parked on Storie Street) would sometimes spray out pish and dung onto the poor souls waiting in queues to get into the Baths!! They did need a wash then!! There was also a church close by, maybe even where the pic is taken from that my cousin was married in, some time in the 70's
  10. Alfie Jones has gone back to Southampton
  11. Tweet????????? Can I email? Thanks
  12. Does anyone know how or who to approach to get a birthday message at half time Emailed the club and also left telephone messages with no response.....................................pretty disappointing actually considering we are meant to be a community club. Any quick help would be appreciated.........................birthday is tomorrow (30th)!!!
  13. I have just done a search for the word 'ukulele' on this site, and its not there.....................................until now
  14. Was a member at Elderslie for about 20 years and moved over to Ranfurly Castle about 10 years ago. Elderslie is a nice course (my good lady plays there still), however, I think the Castle is a bit more challenging (too challenging frequently), an even nicer course, and the views and surroundings are spectacular. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for Happy golfing
  15. My Hibs-supporting work colleague ( who seems reasonably in-the-know on Hibs matters) suggested to me several weeks ago that McGinn was Celtic-bound but that the deal would involve player swaps rather than money. Wonder how that works out??
  16. Anyone know what the status is with yellow cards moving into playoffs (but hopefully not)? Can't help but feel McKenzie, McGinn and Mallon must have picked up a few over the past months
  17. Wow. Ok bud, we live our lives differently and see things from different perspectives Lets leave it at that, cheers
  18. Sorry Oaksoft, can't resist reposting these, although it gives me no cheer. Fortunately for me, the coward that I am, I had pitched my expectation at a level less than I suspect your goodself. At the end of the game I was still disappointed the way things had turned out. I did stay till the end and can only imagine it was those who were buzzing beforehand who left as soon as the second goal went in...................bit disappointed with that too. Anyway, 10 games to go, and as you say, not impossible. I'll be there, with reality head on, supporting the team till the end.
  19. Lets not get too carried away Yes, Wednesday night's performance and result were great, and we were good for 60 minutes yesterday, but we are not out of this relegation battle yet. Indeed, all these plaudits from others will just be the spur that teams like Raith, Dumbarton and Dung need to raise their game against us. In my view, we are going to have to be as good as we were in the last two games for every game forthwith. Remember, it only takes a couple of bad decisions, a couple of injuries (God forbid Stephen McGinn getting injured) or a bit of bad luck to change things for the worse. That said, so much happier with things now than before the window and hopefully we will do the needful in the weeks which follow. It may not be pretty, so hold on for the ride!!
  20. According to my Hibs supporting work colleague, they have no central defence for Wednesday. Apparently a mixture of injuries and suspension (McGregor) and he's worried about game and would settle for a point in the circumstances. Get intae them!!!
  21. Seem to recall wee McColl giving us the "you're down" thumbs at the end of the last game in Paisley. Love to ram it right back at him today COYS!!!
  22. I see this game is all ticket...............might be interesting
  23. Ok, Stuart isn't the most popular poster on this Forum, but I have to say I agree with all of this I'd even add that I remain unconvinced that the fan-ownership situation improves anything. I suspect money will be even tighter than before and our ability to do much more financially this season must surely be limited (I could have this wrong with no facts to back it up........I certainly hope I am) I'm also unconvinced when I hear players quoted as saying "love the new manager, trainings been great blah blah". I'd much rather they were saying training has been really hard and I ache but I'm benefiting from it, and I'm now able to control a ball coming in my direction and to make a simple, even forward, pass. Last night was rotten (on and off the park) and in the decades I have supported the team I could count on one hand occasions when I have left early. Last night was one of the fingers.
