  1. It is difficult. My son and I look forward to the morgans, magennises, mallan and mcallister..take those boys out and, well, not very entertaining. Sell them, and we risk relegation. Get relegated and it's more difficult to attract the youth when they have options. The further we fall, the less we'll be happy to accept in future..downward spiral..
  2. Div. I'm a lifelong supporter, like yourself and many others. The rhetoric coming out of the club and management, since winning the cup, has been one of adjusting our expectations, cutting our cloth, and going more with youth. If, and it's an if, if our youth barely get a run out before we let them go, what's the future?. A youth development that benefits other clubs but not our progress on the pitch?. I don't know the answer. Is it their contracts? Is it agents? Is it the board? Is it ralston?..i don't know. In a declining industry that is competing with the fans of the future and their xboxes, watching entertaining football is paramount..not selling it off and watching the club fall...cause there is no doubt we are in decline
  3. I'm chucking it if we lose mallan and mcallister..its bleak..losing McLean to Aberdeen in the January window contributed to losing our spl status..we say we need to go with youth but anyone decent will be sold?..no ambition..we have become mediocre at best. Start losing the youth before they've spent any time in the first squad and we won't even be that..2nd division here we come...quite happily it would seem..
  4. Professional football should not be played on plastic pitches. If we ever go that route, I'll not be back. I'll stand down at ferguslie and watch the games down there. It's costs nothing and some of the football is more entertaining than is currently on show..
  5. I don't get any of this..weve got half a dozen players on loan from SPL clubs who barely warm the bench let alone get in the squad, whilst the ones on the pitch are piss rotten..
  6. I get clubs are businesses, but this 'shafting' of other clubs when they can sickens me and is only helping to drag football down. Again, I get this is only a possible projection, but Scottish football clubs should be looking after Scottish football, not helping to weaken the competition at every opportunity
  7. No. We keep going..but we're the only professional team incbritain without a league win..says it all really
  8. We're the only team in professional football in Britain without a league win..says it all
  9. I keep hearing our squad is too good to go down..i haven't seen anything to prove this. We can't score and our defence is shocking, not helped by a goalkeeping crisis..every team looks better organised, fitter and stronger than us..theres no money to change it, jack can't make up his mind what his best team is, and I know he hasn't had much time, but the damage was done by rae..the fans are on the players backs from the start and the subs when warming up are getting pelters before they go on, that's if they get on. Jacks starting to look frustrated and despondent..between that, and the club being part owned by the fans is a worry, a worry if we go down, cause part time football might become a reality..i know it's negative but I don't see where the change will come from..lewis is the only guy in the team that is showing any game to game form..the rest?...????
  10. I haven't seen anything to suggest we can get out of this other than a club above us going into freefall...every club looks more organised, stronger, fitter and simply better than us..rarely have we played the same squad 2 games in a row. The team looks completely disorganised and, our defence is appallingly..
  11. Fans want to stop screaming pish at players. It doesn't help players to hear you tell them they're pish. The amount of shit I hear shouted constantly at players is unbelievable. The sub's got it as well, all of them, just when warming up..strong characters needed to ignore that shit but it's a lot of young kids out there..get behind the team FFS
  12. Is this a joke..Big Tan Doherty has consistently turned out the best footballing pitch in Scotland for years..just can't find a manager to put a team on it to match his groundsman skills #ridiculousidea
  13. Nope. Not forgiven for playing for extra time against 9 man Rangers in cup final. Bolt!!
  14. I moved out of the family stand as I was sick of the abuse hurled at players and manager just in the warm up. Sitting in the main stand is no better. There are fans there just to boo players and the managers. There are too many fans haven't a clue how to support a team. They hurl more abuse at their own team than they do at the opposition. It's shocking. No wonder the players have to confidence
  15. Even Farage is predicting a REMAIN win. I had 20quid on 11-1 LEAVE as well even though I voted to REMAIN..thought it might make the pain easier
  16. Just like the Scottish referendum then. Deciding in the booth to stick with the status quo
  17. Brilliant. Close the family stands for bigots. Have them shooting at both ends with their bigoted fans at both ends. We'll done Saints board and strathclyde police. Cater to the bigots. Why not just West stand if they want to accommodate more of them. Money making venture.
  18. Just shocking. We have a team, and I've said before, look like they're big lumps with no pace. No imagination and little skill or thought. Losing mcmullan was huge. Cause he's the one player we have that actually affrects a game. Remove him, and we're less than ordinary. I see no improvement and no discipline. There's little fight, organisation or anything positive currently. I said to my son at 2-0 that I still thought falkirk were playing well and not out of this..Just very poor all over..thing us, Murray will get time cause the board know they made an arse of it with Craig and Teale..long season ahead and if my son loses interest, ill not be throwing my money at that..What is our clubs aspirations .I love to know!!
  19. eh, we moved from Shortroods ffs, hardly ralston, was it. As for our form at home. It has been absolute pish. Must average about 0.8 goals per home game. How we attract the support we do is testament to those fans and not down to a succession of poor managers.
  20. I have to disagree. I do not think this squad of players is equipped to compete effectively in this league. The defence is appalling. We've employed big six foot guys with little ability, or athleticism for that part, to basically, get in the way of forwards. Ridgers is a bombscare but so is langfield. His distribution is as bad as ridgers. I don't understand professional footballers. Is it impossible to take half a second to think what you are going to do next? Mcmullan is the only stand out player and he doesn't belong to us. I've said this in a previous post only to be lambasted for my early observations of this team. Problem is, this is the team for the season. It's not good enough because the players aren't. In all our games, bar one, brechin, we've had fewer shots, and less possession than our opponents..I'm not optimistic. Already I see fans staying away and we're only a couple of games in. A good start is always important if you want the backing of fans. And honesty from the board and management as to their expectations for the season would be interesting to hear. Certainly doesn't look like a drive for promotion this season. Really poor all over the pitch
  21. he has more talent than most from what I can see. But if it's strength that's needed, we are putting a strong team together. None of them can kick a ball right enough but could kick your head in. I'm looking forward to a season of talentless, skill-less Neanderthal football
  22. get a life, seriously. Calling me out for saying 10 years instead of 9, and, maybe I wasn't clear, but how many times did we escape relegation comfortably, or finish in the top six? Blah blah blind faith
  23. keep yer hair on, if you've any left! Didn't know we had statisticians on here. Was generalising as I am about the team..what is it, you not allowed to criticise at the beginning of a season? Do we have to wait till the last kick of the ball of each season before we can criticise? Tell that to the few hundred who booed the performance on Saturday. I clapped the team off the pitch, didn't boo, but I'm not blinded by faith!! Oh, 1-0 down to Annan in the first minute I see in the Petrofac cup..keep the faith I hear some say
