I wonder what sort of position we would be in today if we went with the English consortium? They claimed to have a manager in place with a list of players ready to sign. Would we have survived the SPL? Would we have been asset stripped? Maybe we would have been in the championship but better plans and ideas for the long term future of the club. Was it just called off because some guy had a dodgy past? I wonder if it was maybe worth the risk.

Is he not aware of where we are in the table and how we have endured utter garbage from them this season? Massive job for Rae to try and salvage something from this season. We need a team of battlers to compete in this league. At the moment we don't have one. I couldn't even name one of that livvi side yet they dominated us in terms of effort and ability today. Sad times.

I hope he has changed his opinion as a pundit saying that no team in this league are capable of taking points off Sevco or Hibs for the rest of the season. As the St Mirren manager I hope he expects his team to be competing with these clubs and taking points were possible from them. He certainly came across in his interview earlier as a driven motivated type, who will hopefully get his players in that frame of mind. He certainly appears more up for it than Murray was. I felt he was always too laid back and drab sounding.

Drew, he might implement your ticket idea at Shrewsbury. I know it's a bit of a travel though :-)

Maybe Calderwood was too expensive, as Jimmy Nicholl would've undoubtedly been part and parcel. 2 big wages that we maybe can't afford.
