  1. Some new Passats have this feature. I have to do a driving course for work every year and my last one was in a car that had no handbrake and automatically stops the engine when you stop the car and go into neutral. Takes quite a while to get used to. Constantly thinking you have stalled and trusting an automatic hand brake is pretty scary.
  2. I just finished The Wasp Factory the day before he died. Some real funny moments and a very readable book. The Bridge is a great book that shows off just crazy an authors imagination can be. Well worth a read. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Black & White Army mobile app
  3. I've got this bad boy on my Galaxy S3. Cost about a fiver on ebay. Sent from my GT-I9300 using Black & White Army mobile app
  4. I've got that series linked but not got round to watching the first episode yet. Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation are both worth watching. Shamefully enough I am also looking forward to the new series of Skins.
  5. Really liking it. Good collar. Liking the yellow outline on the sleeves. Love the Paisley pattern in the stripes. But yeh, that black box around the sponsor is a let down.
  6. Not sure if it has made it to UK telly or not but "Archer" is well worth a watch.
  7. Have a quick search for "GTPS" and you will see how often requests are made for threads to be bumped out of General St Mirren Discussion.
  8. I've got it but it's 18Mb and too big to upload to a post (max 5Mb). Zipping does feck all to decrease the size. I'm guessing mods have larger upload limits?
  9. He talks when he wants He talks when he waaants Richard Atkinson He talks when he wants.
  10. Drove down from Inverurie on the Saturday night. Headed into the Crystal Palace at 12 then train to Mount Florida and straight to the stadium. The usual roller coaster of emotions ensued for the next 2 hours, but we were never going to do it the easy way. 2 year old daughter slept through the whole game. 5 year old son was bored and asked if it was over every 5 mins. Wiped away the tears and had a quick hug with Div when leaving the stadium to join the train queue. Straight back to Paisley around 7pm. Pubs all full but had a quick pint in Gabriels then up to the cross for the bus arriving. The disaster of County Square was a real waste of a great occasion so we headed down New St. Bars all full again so we went into the Bungalow. Highlight there being when one of the live acts thought he would endear himself to the fans by playing Oh When The Saints, only to start a full on stage invasion and the whole pub taking over the singing. Beautiful scenes. All kegs ran dry after a while and we had to move onto bottled or canned lager. Straight to Viennas where we met Isma, Conor Newton, Sam Parkin, Kenny McLean, Vanzy (and wife), Cheesy. Some dancing and drinking til about 2:30. A quick peck on the cheek from Vanzy's wife on the way out and straight to the taxi rank. Woke up with a sore head and back on a train north to start a 12hr night shift. Met a couple of other Buddies on the train to Aberdeen. The walk of fame in last nights clothes has never been so proud. Quite literally in tears reading the papers on the train and seeing the pictures, especially the back page of the metro. Cheesy in streams of tears embracing Thommo. They're two of our own and I love them like my own.
  11. 3 goals in 19 appearances for Nice last season.
  12. At no point did any of the sponsors or tv companies indicate that they would consider leaving. Sky were quite adamant that they never indicated that anything of the sort was ever even considered by them. Gilmour was sucked into the Doncaster and media scaremongering when in reality there was never an actual threat of loss of sponsorship or armageddon.
  13. Yeh, the mortgage comparison was a bit of an afterthought. Not really intended to carry any argument through. I'm happy to admit that everything isn't clicking in perfect harmony and I am still holding onto the hope that if we do get this purchase pushed through then we could begin to build some real rapport amongst the members once we actually do have the power of the vote. I think it would be a shame for it fail on the premise of poor communication. That is something that can certainly be worked on and improved and doesn't need to be a show-stopper.
  14. Like when the board issued a statement saying that they would be making no statement? I didn't see the point in it and didn't feel all warm and fussy because of it. It was just frankly confusing and led to speculation and scaremongering. I'm not saying that 10000hrs have embraced the fans by any means and it would be nice to feel more a part of things but I don't think there is anything to apologise for regarding the last 3 weeks. If people are pulling out of the scheme because they didn't receive and email telling them that nothing is happening then I think they have their priorities a bit mixed up. My mortgage statement from the bank only comes once a year and I have a lot more cash invested there than I do with 10000hrs. I'm happy with that level of communication.
  15. I'm not really sure why they apologised for the lack of information over the last 3 weeks. There doesn't appear to have been any information to give. We were waiting for the SPL to get their finger out and pay the prize money and waiting for the whole rangers thing to sort itself out. They have come out with information on the day that the SPL has paid out 50% of the cash but earlier communication would have had zero useful information.
  16. Wonder how long the selling consortium will take to mull over the offer? I would think that the offer being made tomorrow won't have changed much from the offer in June so they should probably have a pretty good idea what it is going to be. Could it be a case of shaking hands tomorrow and the sale goes through? Doubtful since the DD drawdowns have been pushed back a month but it would be nice to bring some closure to this whole affair.
  17. Regardless of how long a day is on Pluto, 48hrs is still 48hrs.
  18. No. I don't agree that there is a "brigade" of people who "can't see the bigger" picture about the mystery new bidder. For what it's worth, this bidder has also taken 3 years to get his bid sorted out. Not that it matters.
  19. I would put it to you that this "brigade" doesn't exist anywhere other than in your head. It's about part of your ammunition against 10000hrs in the past being that there was international interest in the club being a scare tactic used by 10000hrs to gain support. It was suggested that since there was no evidence of such a bidder that this story was fabricated by 10000hrs. I am aware that you don't agree with the 10000hrs proposal and I didn't even mention it in my post. I am concerned that you seem convinced that this American chap is using his own money and/or has some credibility. For someone that only deals in facts I would just like to know where these facts came from? Who has written off this bid?! Somner's "brigade"? As far as we aware there isn't even a solid bid to be written off yet.
  20. Is it his own "spondullets"? Is there any evidence of where this money is coming from or could it just be a loan secured against the next 10 years of ST money? So far for me this faceless guy has no claim at all until we find out if all these fairytale circumstances are actually true or not. Who is in this brigade? I don't recall a single person on this thread saying they don't want to hear more from this mysterious bidder. Certainly not a whole brigade of people. This is possibly the same bidder that you have claimed to be an imaginary scare tactic conjured up by 10000hrs in the past, but now you seem quite happy with despite the lack of any evidence at all as to their identity or even existence.
  21. 10000hrs is almost entirely made up of your fellow fans. Some of them must be taking it personally. I had forgotten all about this guy! Excellent supporter. Extremely animated and up for 90 mins non-stop singing and brilliantly dressed.
  22. A one-liner in the BBC rumour mill and that is 10000hrs f**ked? The irony! I have happily backed 10000hrs because I thought they were the best option we had. And until we get even a single shred of actual evidence of this new bid even being made then I am still backing 10000hrs. If the new bidder comes in with the cash and doesn't appear to be a dickhead then so be it. I will gladly let him pump his cash in instead of mine.
  23. I guess the risk of this plan of waiting until we hit administration is that there is no guarantee that the administrators would sell to us. Also, the 1000 signed up members of 10000hrs pledging £11500/month have signed up to 10000hrs. There is no guarantee that all of them will happily jump ship to the next fan-led bid.
  24. If this situation does materialise under these circumstances then it would have to be on the condition that the board would actually sell to 10000hrs. Imagine we help out in the hour of need and keep the club afloat, bring down the price, and then one of the other interested bidders swoops in and takes the club at the new reduced price.
