It's downright disgraceful how Div has been treated on these forums. Oaksoft, Sid, Chic appearing out of nowhere with once of his many aliases, and other too - you know who you are.
Div has and continues to work tirelessly for the St Mirren community (got that now Sid) and has decided that he is in favour of the 10000 Hours bid. Because of these two things he has been a bit more involved at this stage than others have - is that any reason to accuse him of lies?
Some people on here need to take a long hard look at themselves and think seriously before posting another thing on this site. Some of the things levelle at Div have been downright disgusting!

Excellent stuff, div makes it all as clear as a bell.
The thing is that it also clarifies that if Sky do pull the plug then every team in the SPL would go bust. For that reason I cannot see Sky pull out, the negative publicity would damage their reputation.
The professional critics on here are incredible, people like yourself have stepped up to the mark and done what you believe to be in the best interests for Saint Mirren, what thanks have you got .................... Stuff like stick the CIC your ass etc etc. makes me angry.
If people on here think they can do better then put forward your plans, stop running down the very people working their butts off and have put their own 3k worth in.
I remain sceptical of the CIC, however I have joined it and I admire the efforts that have gone in to try and make it work, give div a break FFS.

Sid the consortium have seen the bid and haven't knocked it back, they just agreed to wait 2-3 weeks to see what happens with SkY once the Newco are told to get tae.
So why are you speculating that there is something untoward with the bid?
I shouldn't even ask that question, it's obvious that you get your kicks coming on this forum and stirring things up.

Daft as a brush, mad as a March hare, God love love you, ya eejit.
Meant to say I think the newco should be treated the same as any company starting from scratch. In other words no way.

It was a joint statement. It was not a statement from 10000hrs. They did not demand the BoD to listen to the members. The BoD invited 10000hrs to canvas their members because they are their preferred bidder and represent a very substantial percentage of the St Mirren support. All this has come from the selling consortium. Your anger should be aimed at them, not 10000hrs.
The prospective members of 10000hrs are getting a sneak preview chance to see what it could be like to vote en mass on critical decisions before they have even committed a single penny. This is exactly what you were venting a spleen about about a month ago. Yet you continue to mump and moan.
How can the BoD asking the fans opinion on something be a bad thing? And make no mistake, 10000hrs are fans. If you want your voice heard, feel free to join. That's what it's all about. Sitting on the outside and complaining because Stewart Gilmour didn't ask your opinion should show you exactly what 10000hrs is all about.
It is widely known that every division of fans around the country would overwhelmingly vote no to newco so how you can twist todays statement to be a rallying call for fans to vote is yes is madness.

Why not put it to the shareholders and season ticket holders as well?
Strange that at this stage it's going exclusively to the members of the CIC have haven't parted with a penny.
Disappointed we haven't struck a deal yet but i must be honest, I'm getting to the stage where I can't be bothered reading the updates. If it happens, it happens.

It's a shame that you can't see what is there in front of you. Maybe you don't care about our football club in the same way that I do but each to their own.
This is an absolutely scandalous post. You've gone too far this time John, the stakes here are miles too high to be playing your stupid games.
I hope anyone with common sense and an appreciation of your track record on this forum will completely disregard this utter rubbish.

Rangers are not important in this per se. Sky TV carry the keys.
Sky won't comment publically on their position for fear of being seen to influence the vote. They will say nothing until after the vote and they know exactly what the position is with the SPL.
If Rangers are out as I think they will be, then its realistic to assume Sky will want to re-negotiate their deal, but by how much is anyones guess. If they are the only show in town then it will be easy for them to squeeze.
Put bluntly, if Sky was to walk away and leave the SPL with NO TV Revenue then we would be off our nut to want to buy the football club as it would be in administration itself within a few months. That is the harsh reality of what we are talking about in a doomsday scenario.

    The conditions mentioned were indeed mentioned at the meeting on 7th June and are mentioned on page three of the powerpoint presentation which you can download here;
    http://www.10000hour...ntation0706.pdf
There is no conspiracy here, nothing is being hidden. The facts are that we (10000hours) are buying a business, and the people lending us a big chunk of that money to help us buy that business want to understand that the business is sustainable and isn't going to collapse in a heap in two months time.
At the moment nobody knows what is going to happen to the SPL revenues next season.
Sky have a clause they can invoke once Rangers are out of the league which allows them, if they so wish, to exit the contract. That is a fact and whilst it seems unlikely it still COULD happen.
IF that scenario came to pass then perhaps the fans would simply rally round and start pledging money to help keep the club afloat. Would they really be in a position to do that AND continue their 10000Hours subscriptions and gate money all at the same time ? I would suspect not.
This is of course a doomsday scenario but it would be foolish in the extreme not to at least consider the implications of what could come to pass.
I can't see any problem in delaying things for 2-3 weeks more so that we can understand exactly the lie of the land.
Again, it's simple common sense and the same prudent approach that the current board have used to guide the club successfully through the last 20 years.

The problem we (10000hours) have is that we are buying a business at the end of the day. A business that takes over 60% of it's revenues from commercial SPL TV and Sponsorship deals.
10000Hours need some assurances about the future of these deals before we, or our funder, can commit to the deal.
The selling consortium can't currently guarantee these deals will still be in place (nobody currently can) and they are similarly concerned about our ability as a fledgling organisation to deal with the nightmare scenario of those deals disappearing or being drastically reduced almost overnight.
So it is prudent and sensible for both parties to wait until there is more clarity on exactly what the position is before proceeding on either side..
The size of the bid made is what we can afford to pay back and we have managed to monetise the additional £4k per month in direct debits we have received from individuals in order to make the up front bid as attractive as we possibly can.
Be in absolutely no doubt, our deal is NOT dependent on NewCo being in the SPL, but our deal is very much dependent on St.Mirren FC being able to trade in the SPL as a going concern. The TV and sponsorship money the club takes from the SPL is a huge part of the clubs turnover whether you or I like it or not.
If 60% of the clubs income was to disappear overnight, with a playing squad of 23 or so first team players all contracted to be paid this season based on that revenue being there then the club would be in serious trouble.
The board want to gather the fans opinion on the NewCo vote but they also want to make absolutely sure that the fans are given all the necessary information to allow them to make an informed decision rather than a knee jerk one.
None of this is negative in any way, it's just plain common sense.

Well done Div, ktf and everyone who worked their balls off to get the support.
I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. However I must say well done to the people who worked so hard to get people like me to sign up.

Completely agree with all of the above. However I remain unconvinced that this is the correct way to go.
Now that I am part of it I will give it my 100% support.
The saying "if you always do what you've always done you'll always get what you've always got" comes to mind. Perhaps it is time to do something completely different.
God bless the CIC and all who sail in her.

Sid spins so much bollox that I wouldn't be surprised if he was the first to join then wind a few people up.
Perhaps we should start a poll, has sid joined or is he serious for once in his mad life?
My money is that he has joined and has decided to do what he does best and wind a few people up.

I think there is always going to be concern about members leaving the CIC, either because of changes in circumstance, or perhaps because they maybe vote against a key issue but the other members carry it and they take the huff !
The £9.5k per month that has currently been pledged comes from 803 individual people, I still think that many more will join up after the deal is done once they see that the CIC really does own the club and the members really do get consulted on key decisions.
With 3,000 season ticket holders alone, I'd hope we could end up with a couple of thousand members in the fullness of time.
That would mean we could pay off the borrowing a lot quicker than is currently estimated, saving us a lot of money and greatly reducing the risk of financial difficulties through member drop outs.
Also imagine the scenario where we had say 2000 members each paying in £10 per month and the debt was cleared. The members would have £20k per month coming in to the organisation and would be free to spend it on whatever they wished. Think of the good that could do the football club !
Of course that is a long way off, and there is also the possibility that the members might decide to lower the subs once the debt was paid off.

Well done Div, I have now joined up , still unsure if this is the way to go. I am concerned I have let my heart rule my head.
Anyway if it is going ahead I would rather be in it than out of it. The thing is when the going gets tough I will still be in it, I just hope that my fellow Buddies are like minded. The concern I have is when we hit hard times and relegation is a reality there will be some heading for the exit door. That is the time when we need to stick together.
