  1. Bronby Statement Yesterday's match between Brøndby IF and Rangers FC ended 1-1, and both teams therefore got a point and more in the Europa League group game. Unfortunately, before, during and after the match there were battles with especially a group of Rangers fans. CEO Ole Palmå talks about the security in connection with the match. - We have had a massive security effort up to this match, as Rangers fans have been trying for a long time to get tickets for the match. Rangers FC were awarded the obligatory five percent of the stadium capacity (1,400 tickets, ed.), And the outdoor section was immediately sold out. In addition to the 1,400 tickets, Rangers fans have not been allowed to get tickets to other sections of Brøndby Stadion, but despite constant communication from our side, we have had to go in and cancel several hundred tickets over the last week, as Rangers- fans got their hands dirty in various ways. We have on several occasions reached out to Rangers FC about this security risk, as Rangers fans are known and infamous for their fans trying to get into episodes they do not have access to, but we has had to conclude that we and the Copenhagen West Region Police have stood alone with this challenge. Before the start of yesterday's match, more than 500 Rangers fans were turned away at the entrances to Brøndby Stadion with invalid and fake tickets, just as the ticket control and the gates to the away section were tried several times up to the opening of the stadium by Rangers fans, which meant that Copenhagen's Vestegns Police had to pull the poles several times to ensure that only those with a valid ticket entered. A large group of Scottish spectators were given access to Rangers FC's sponsorship spots as part of UEFA's requirements for the Europa League group stage. Rangers FC was responsible for the administration and distribution of these VIP tickets. Brøndby IF's assessment of the group in question was that it consisted of "risk fans", but when asked directly at the entrance to the sponsorship places, Rangers FC confirmed to Brøndby IF's head of security, Mickel Lauritzen, that this group were sponsors of the club. Mickel Lauritzen explains the episode. - Unfortunately, our immediate risk assessment of this group of Rangers fans turned out to be correct. It was clear that this group was what we call "risk fans," and shortly after their arrival, this group hung a flag on the sponsor seats, which can be connected to Rangers FC's risk fans. Then it quickly developed into a car crash with a group of Brøndby fans, where our guards and the police had to intervene and calm the mood. During the match, this group acted threateningly towards spectators and staff, and several times threw beer at surrounding spectators, just as during the break they attacked random spectators on the toilets. Together with the police, we assessed that it entailed too great a risk to remove this group of "risk fans" from the stands, so we chose instead to place more guards in the area where they were sitting. When the group was escorted away from the stadium after the match, a riot broke out outside the stadium between them and a group of Brøndby fans. CEO Ole Palmå talks about a good collaboration with the police, and praises the many stewards who ensured an otherwise good outcome of the match. - We had a really good and constructive collaboration with the police yesterday, in what was a very unusual and difficult task. We would also like to thank our many hundreds of stewards at the stadium for making very thorough checks of fans, which helped to ensure that only those with tickets came in, despite the fact that several Scottish fans had worn Brøndby IF jerseys and scarves. All in all, there was a fantastic atmosphere in the stands during the match, where Sydsiden to that extent showed Brøndby Stadion by getting the whole stadium with them. - However, it is by no means acceptable that a group of Brøndby fans resort to suicide in the stands and get into a fight. It belongs nowhere. We strongly dissociate ourselves from such behavior, and we are now embarking on reviewing all video footage of the match in cooperation with the police so that we can identify the people involved and secure sanctions, including quarantine. Could be a pile of excrement but was sent this today albeit from a Celtic fan I know
  2. No but they do for the club SMiSA need to do their own housekeeping
  3. Maybe Kibble and SMiSA need to act if not already doing so in the background Both would need to agree on his removal
  4. Here is Tweet apology Reading the comments and noting the quote tweets including the shares tagged, it really spreads his stupidity far and wide. Some will agree with his comments but none are the Chair of SMFC
  5. After making an apology on Twitter, admitting the stupidity and inappropriate nature of his comments, he should step aside. Also as a SMiSA representative on the board, his position is untenable. Resign before any potential Censure
  6. This is going down well Not looking great
  7. I would not be going to Angus if I didn’t So there
  8. Send me your address and I will post it unstamped from an Angus postbox on Wednesday
  9. Could well be Mr Chairman will join the victims of historical tweets Some on here called him out on his previous issues when he first came on the scene. Checking his back catalogue just as the Ibrox hordes are doing now.
  10. No more need for a Red Zone Handy given the visitors for our next home game Now fix the Scanner Issues as we don’t want to mix with them outside any longer than is necessary Alas it is now easier to facilitate them at both ends again
  11. I'll assume he doesn't know how league football works.
  12. Just prefer someone who has invested in the project so far and not some opportunistic individual
  13. SMFC board members once thought Reg was ideal
  14. Then you are easily pleased No point in membership and subscription if anyone can turn up and apply when it suits and be a SMiSA rep Really doubt it would happen though but should not be considered. Any candidate should be a SMiSA member to qualify and ideally prove their worth on the SMiSA board first
  15. That failed to answer my question/concern re non SMiSA member applicants no matter how gifted they are, being acceptable Members only please need apply
  16. Are you then happy for a non-SMiSA member to be successful ? To be a SMiSA representative on the board, surely one must already be a SMiSA member. It cannot be right that anyone who has not contributed to be considered for the position and is stupid to allow their application for the role.
  17. Should also encourage members to engage and vote on occasions required Given that SMiSA number just over 30 % of season tickets holders, would be seen as more democratic decision making
  18. Can only speak about main stand issues Long queue formed very quickly prior to 2:45 usual late rush but scanning issues made for delay, stewards very busy dealing with that, scanning tickets manually and still short in numbers required Hardly noticed any Police presence outside or inside I got in before kickoff and focus was on the pitch but could see no queue through the gap from my seat at rear of M7 SLO group doing all the heavy lifting handling the problems in communication still, which is unfair on them Latest club recruitment highlights issues being slowly recognised
  19. You cannot see the queues from the directors lounge or the big padded seats In days gone by, a kick off could have been delayed (cash turnstiles ) but we are all pre-paid up front now, so the moneys in the bank
  20. The SLO duo ask for feedback from fans to raise at meetings with club, then report back on social media Not perfect but now better than the previous silence
