IMO, there's far too much of a softy/loyalty approach towards our youngsters and our senior cup heroes at the moment.
The senior players have shown a terrible attitude in recent seasons IMO, both on and off the park and the younger players just haven't quite been good enough.
Time to clear out and let Murray get his own guys in and take it from there. I really hope he doesn't fall into the trap of trying to work with these guys, he could be in for a hell of a time if he does.

this is the question that troubles me with Teale. We were terrible in those two games, but was it the tactics or was it the youngsters heads going down that caused the capitulation? Was it caused by a bunch of big headed first team players letting him down in a similar way that they had let down his predecessors. I understand that controlling these things is what is expected from a manager but it often requires a step back to move forward, and maybe just maybe we need to give him time. I don't know enough of what is going on behind the scenes to know if he's the right man for the job but I wouldn't write him off based on getting us relegated, Butcher got relegated with ICT and they came back all guns blazing.

Will renew our season tickets this month.
Quite looking forward to next season to be honest, especially for my 5 year old who only seen them win 2 games all season.
I grew up watching Saints mainly in the first division and I think my boy will find this more exciting and enjoyable.
We'll be back soon enough and look forward to another league win in campaign.

I'd keep the 16 who had accepted to play. Like Brian so eloquently stated, people will have made arrangements to play and shouldn't be kicked back out of the game because the club (shock) only gave 1 days notice.
Maybe put those who dropped out after last weeks game at the top of the standby or something.

So sad to convey this news to fellow Buddies, but lifelong St Mirren fan Alan "Feezie" McPhee died yesterday in Jersey General Hospital. Feezie was a committed Saints fan and a gem of a man. Any time we met we would enthusiastically discuss all things St Mirren and I always left feeling refreshed and somewhat melancholy for the old days of going to games regularly. In spite of distance Feezie would get to as many games as he could and loved his team. We did not meet often enough and that is my loss. He will be sorely missed by his many friends in Jersey and has gone too young. Please take a moment out of your day to think of him and his family whom many on here will know well I'm sure. May he rest in peace

Maybe time to refresh the list and take people off it who never play/respond, just wastes your time chasing people who don't want to play.
