  1. Would Samson want to return? Not that we need him anyway but I think he left the club with a bad taste in his mouth?
  2. Have to strongly disagree. He was a revelation when he first broke into the team and last season. He was very consistent, he has been due a dip in form and sadly for us it has came at the worst time, just like Naismith and Kelly. To write him off when he is still so young is madness. I think a season in the Championship wouldn't harm the youngsters development like it would have many years ago. Remember Kenny McLean was very inconsistent for us , people are letting 2 months of sensational form cloud their judgement on him for the previous 3 seasons. In fact he used to take some amount of abuse on this forum.
  3. Came into a struggling club last January, scored a couple of cracking goals and towards the end of the season was in good form. Continued that form into pre-season, was the only decent player against Morton, tore them apart then gets injured and hasn't been able to find that form again. Thought he was going to be a big player for us this season but has disappointed like everyone else. Sold the jersey a few times and thats unforgivable. I think he would excel in the Championship but another bottom 6 team will sign him.
  4. They are template ones, iirc teams like Morton and Ayr pay to use Nike off the shelf kits, Nike don't pay them for sponsorship unlike their deals with Celtic,Barca ect.
  5. After this season's shocker surely it won't be number 3 ?
  6. We won our last 2 Division 1 titles with 3 at the back, although I must admit sometimes under Gus it turned into a back 7 .
  7. I think Goodwin would be brilliant as a sweeper in a back 3. I'd also love to see Naismith in at centre back but we don't have another right back in the squad.Maybe try one of the youth players at right back.
  8. So after David Cameron begged us to stay part of the UK he comes out with this http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/apr/19/conservatives-pledge-annual-report-on-scottish-government-impact-on-uk . I think he was expecting us Scots to just shut up and get back in our boxes after the referendum, now when we will finally have a voice in Westminster we aren't allowed to be heard. We can have "more power" as long as we don't prosper more than the rest of the UK. The SNP want to break up the Union but clowns like this are doing it with much greater effect.
  9. We have offered him a contract I'm sure, months ago. it will surely have had a relegation clause in it? Same with Naismith's and Kelly's? It is a crazy rule/law though. I can see John waiting throughout the summer for a offer, teams will be put off by the development fee forcing him to sign for us then we give him away for pennies in the next January transfer window
  10. Most of us agree on here that the club needs a fresh start from top to bottom. Cheesy is the first, there will be many others. Bit of a shock timing wise but the sooner we start the better.
  11. I don't see this as such a big deal tbh. Maybe his injury has ruled him out for the season and we have cut ties early? Cup winning legend who id have like to of seen get us back to the top league because I think he could flourish in the Championship, it's not to be. Good Luck Cheesy.
  12. I hated John Martin, what a prick . Was David Cameron a youth player? Can't remember him at all.
  13. Just realised that's our away kit from last season hardly wore it though!
  14. We could have done with a horrible bully of a manager since the cup win to be honest. Seems to have been a lot of politics and back stabbing going on in that dressing room for far too long.
  15. Excuse the crappy drawings, being bored I decided to design a couple of kits. It's only took me 5 minutes but I'd be delighted if we got something like the home kit. It's a mix of the early 80s Adidas kit with the early 90s Matchwinner kit. Whatever we do I hope JD have had as little input as possible, get that minging yellow to fck.
  16. Unless I'm mistaken he wouldn't have had a gun pointing at his head when he was offered the gig. Why would his old job been on the line? He would have carried on as a player/coach regardless. It was a great opportunity for him, chances are we were getting relegated anyway as the damage had been done. If he managed to keep us up he would have worked a miracle, he must have known how bad the squad was when he took over. He clearly doesn't have the respect of the players but as he has another year on his contract I think he'll get next season to prove himself. Not that I agree with that, I think we need a fresh start.
  17. No chance i'd be selling them! The black Kelvin Holmes one is probably my favourite Saints top.
  18. https://yougov.co.uk/news/2015/04/09/numbers-are-clear-labour-narrowly-ahead/ Incredible .
  19. Won't be back until those spineless b'stards have left the club. Why should the fans care when they clearly don't. Thankfully most of the players are out of contract in the summer.
  20. That was a shit fest all round, nearly as bad as the game tonight. The format was all wrong, the audience was full of puddle drinkers clapping like seals every 2 minutes.
  21. There is a bit of dammed if you do damned if you don't about this statement , fair play but the fans have been crying out for reassurance all season. We have been lacking leadership on and off the field , we aren't out of it yet but it will take some effort to turn our fortunes around, starting with 3 points tonight. Its easy for people to forget but everyone associated with the club needs and wants St Mirren to do well. The board because they are trying to sell up for the best price possible and the players because it's their careers at stake. They haven't went out and intentionally lost, in eg same way the board didnt think TC would have been the disaster he was going to be. We have still to play Motherwell and County 4 times, it's very much win or bust tonight. COYS
  22. I thought Goodwin signed a 2 year deal as a player coach, will not having the coaching role effect the length of the contract?
  23. http://wingsoverscotland.com/new-friends/ Really proud of Nicola, she was excellent. It was a good night for Scotland. I think a few Southerners are swayed , the SNP will be a good thing for them too.
  24. Why would that be? Alexander did the same as Murphy on QT recently, they both let other panellists and Audience members talk down Scotland as scroungers ect, the country they were spilling their heart about in September. It was actually Yasmin Alibhai-Brown who was sticking up for us last night. Jim "Irn Bru" Murphy sat back while Janet Street-Porter tore into the Nation he is so patriotic about, the other week. Goves performance was brilliant, his arse totally collapsed. He admitted he would rather have Labour in power than the SNP anywhere near Westminster . Can't wait to see his reaction in May.
  25. Surely the self proclaimed proud no voting Scots should be delighted that one of our own absolutely stormed that debate last night? Nicola came across very well and the opinion I am getting from a good few English folk after last night is she and the SNP should be embraced, not feared, many of them even wanting her as the next PM. It was a very successful night for Scottish politics and we should all be proud of our First Minister.
