Love Street 'the Movie'

Recommended Posts

Right Buds, last chance to make your mark for posterity and appear in this wee video production.

We are filming upstairs in the Wallace Bar, Paisley before and after the Dumbarton and Aberdeen home games tomorrow Tuesday and this Saturday.

Thanks very much to all contributors so far, everyone has been great.

Here are the questions:

What’s your earliest memory of Love St?

Who was the best player you saw there, St Mirren and opposition?

What’s your favourite place/seat in the stadium?

What’s the funniest memory you have of the place?

How do you feel about the new stadium?

What is your abiding memory of Love St?

It really is quite painless. Look forward to seeing you if you can make it.

Cheers

Steve

Walking down Causeyside Street in the p*shing rain yesterday with Aber, en route to Provans (and no, he wasn't going to do Shull's "bidding"), when we bumped into FS. Half an hour later - Aber interview being filmed in a room above the Wallace - he's a resourceful boy is Allen :) Sounds like some cast list: Fitzy, Aber, Doug......and er, NSS & HSS :P Cannae wait to see it come out.

Hi all,

All is (sort of!) going to plan with filming finished now and the big editing process underway.

Wonder if any of you know a source of old images of Love Street that we could have access to. We have some, and been to most of the obvious places such as the Museum, PDE, previous books, etc, who have all been very helpful, but we could do with more.

Does anyone on here know of any other untapped sources?

All advice and suggestions welcome, even if it means raiding your own picture box tin in the cupboard (HSS?).

Of interest is anything related to the stadium in Love Street (St Mirren Park) and surroundings before re-construction in its current form, with the earlier the better.

Also any speedway pictures and images of the old stadium floodlights would be helpful.

Send me a PM with any ideas or suggestions.

Cheers and thanks

Steve

PS. Premier screening in Paisley 1st November, more details to follow……..

If the DVD lasts 45 mins and the showing is from 12-2pm,what else is going on?

A visit from Fergie?

Thanks to a kindly SPL, it's now running at around 60 mins or thereabouts... We couldn't get Fergie, she's busy with the Black Eyed Peas on Saturdays...

12-2pm is the 'window' we'll put it on somewhere in there....

Well I would presume if you arrive at 12 then you would need to take time and get your popcorn then your seat so half past maybe quarter to

Then again thats just my thinking :P

Not to mention a curry from the Shezan Tandoori and a service from the Rink Garage, approximately 1200 yards from 'this cinema'...
