And the link tae Flickr pic shows an action shot of a Hertz player trying to get round a Shellic player. Clicking to and fro also never offered an image of WT.

Working ok for me bluto.

I tried again. Same image.

So I clicked to shut that in top RHCorner box.

And... it worked - a wee pic of the leaping Telfer. :)

What a difference from the New Year game when The Mankie Mob pumped us 2-0 and they also missed 2 penalty kicks

Even the weather was a lot different,a cracking day.

Biggest memory was the first goal it was on Tv HIGHLIGHTS was the amount of Buds in their end behind the goal.

A game where we easily out numbered them

I normally try to stick with victories but.......

1980....Scottish Cup R4 Replay.....H.....SMFC 2 Sellic 3.

http://www.stmirrenprogrammes.co.uk/StMirren/STM_Match_Details.php?Season=1979&GameID=1782

This is the night that Fanny McGrain deliberately broke Frank McDougalls leg.

Match attendance was given as 27166 but there must have been more than 35000 in the ground that night.Gates were broken and fans scaled the walls to gain entry,it was rather scary trying to get in as this picture shows.....

Sellic went on to win the Cup in the Final which became known as "The Hampden Riot".St Mirren qualified for Europe for the 1st time due to this.

Fans scaled the walls,a wall around the caley end was booted down.

I was there but struggled to see anything such the crowd.

The highlights made out Doyle 2 goals were offside.

Interesting the linesman was pelted with cans and bottles regarding McAdam sending off earlier on

Wish I could say I was there but I wasn't. Great victory for us especially when you look at some of the players Dundee had. I reckon about half a dozen of them were capped. Changed days.

Today's St Mirren needs a Gerry Baker.

I wonder why Donnie Kerrigan got the nod ahead of Alistair Miller in that game?

Strangely, the H**s had an 'equalising' goal disallowed that day. I remember because I spotted a H*n tit from my school berating the Saints fans in the Northbank at the final whistle because he was under the impression that it had finished 1-1. 1eye.gif

Stewart was Saints too scorer for 4 seasons running in the 50s.He went on to play for Accrington Stanley and is still their all time record goalscorer. He passed away in 2011.
